Mando food shitpost #2: Mandalorians don't like soft bread

This is my headcanon that I'm pulling STRAIGHT out of my shebs, but given that the only mention of strictly Mandalorian bread is haashun, which is basically (clack clack) hardtack, I feel like I have room to run with it.

Within legends and canon sources, foodstuffs typically mention dry rations, crispy crunchy mealbread sticks, and dumplings or noodles, but not soft, airy bread. Not for Mandalorians, anyways. I wonder if, with the culture of rustic and substantial foodstuffs, Mandalorians might have the same "EW IT STICKS TO THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH" response to American white bread that I do.

When you grow up on whole wheat, soft white sandwich bread is nasty. Biting down into a pillow when I expected a crunch (or at least some resistance) sends a shudder of disgust down my spine.

I swear I have a mental Mandalorian advisor now that weighs in every time I see someone with a terrible prepper or survival take.

Some dude: "oh, if the country collapses, I'll just hunt wild pigs. I'll be fine on food since I have lots of ammo."

The Mando in my head: "Now, what about gun maintenance and storage without a climate controlled environment? Do you know how to butcher and clean a carcass? It'll go bad within a day or three if you don't have a setup to preserve it ready to go without needing electricity. What about fuel for cooking it? And what about rabbit starvation? If you're caught at a time of year when the animals are too lean, how will you get enough fats and carbs to keep the protein overload from killing you or giving you gout? WHAT ABOUT PARASITES AND PRION DISEASE?"

Also the Mando in my head: "Just make friends and grow beans and raise chickens, di'kut."
