I finally got to see Diabolik and
And I found it awesome in ways I wasn't expecting it to be. I feared the directors were going to try and imitate Hollywood movies but thank all the gods above, they apparently couldn't care less. As usual. I should've trusted them more LOL This movie is 100% original, different and italian and it's such a breath of fresh air.
I loved pretty much every Marvel cinecomics I saw. I regret nothing, I swear. But I'm tired. I've got the feeling I've been watching the same movie for the last 10 years. This is not ideal if you love cinema, which I do.
Diabolik is close to perfect when it comes to the reconstruction of the noir cinema of the 60s. The places, the furniture, the clothes, even the camera angles omg. And above all the atmosphere. The feeling of not seeing a movie, but of leafing through the pages is phenomenal too. It's such a pity one gets used to it after a while. There's suspance, there's elegance, there are unlikely gadgets and there's action too. Not too much, but it's there. And ther there's Eva. She's an awesome character that makes it so blatantly clear that the comic was written by two women XD
About Luca, now. With a talent like his, he simply can't do wrong. Here he's probably a bit penalized by a character who is a shadow. He's cold as ice, we don't even see much of him and he's not allowed many nuances. But when he can show emotions... wow! He can tell whole stories with just one glare ♥
