Lessons & Lovers. Equinox, the middle. A PURGE IS NEVER PRETTY <3 We are our shadows and we are our light, all the time, every moment. Perhaps free will is a thing, perhaps it isn't a thing - on the grand scheme. But with every. single. breath you take you make a choice: love or fear, light or dark. Choose love, it begins with loving yourself. What does this mean? It is not all this spiritual yogic sparkly god-like manifestations of affirmation and well wishes, it is choosing to listen to your heart. It is getting sticky dirty in the murk of the viscous soul in order to know a clean spirit. Master Fry always says, "all those fancy machines they sell you to get fit - the thigh shaper, ab roller, etc. They all work, ONCE YOU ARE ALREADY FIT." Similarly, all of the namastes work, only when you have learned to love yourself. There is no quick fix. It is a constant showing up for yourself, taking responsibility for your thoughts, emotions, actions, inaction. Looking in the mirror both physical and proverbial and being honest about what you see, what you don't see. And then taking the conscious breaths of love and creating the change that beckons you. It means HOLDING HANDS WITH YOUR SHADOW and listening to each other. I came to the Equator because I endured a path of sickness and abuse. Abuse so bad that, not only could I not trust the world, I couldn't trust myself. I had to get honest with myself that I was the one creating the sickness, I was the one entering into the abuse, and how was I to trust someone else if I couldn't trust myself? And how could I trust myself if I could not love myself? The work is daunting and messy, but love does win. Especially in these times, choose love, choose to learn the lesson. I love you.
