Summery‧˚。゚・° 。✎ You were sent to fight Dream and lost the fight. instead of killing you he decides that he has other plans. This can be seen as romantic or platonic I suppose. I meant for it to focus more on Dream being manipulative rather than any explicitly stated romantic feelings.
Misc‧˚。゚・° 。✎ Kidnapping, unconscious reader, Dream is manipulative and doesn’t care about you in a healthy manner, this is from a third person Pov that focuses on Dream and his thoughts
Dream caught your form as you started to fall. His bow was in the way. It took some shuffling around with his bow to properly pick you up. You were scooped up into his arms. It was odd. How utterly unaware you were of the danger he had just placed you in. You were at his mercy. More so than when you were awake.
For a brief moment, Dream just stood there. Staring at you. Your face. Wondering how someone like this was sent to fight Him. It was never a fair fight. Victory was assured the moment he took up his blade. Your life is what surprised him. Leaving you alive was a decision made at the last second. The plan was to kill you to send a message to your allies. That if they kept sending pawns then the pawns would be destroyed until there was no more left.
He shifted your weight to one arm carefully. Trying hard to balance you so you didn't fall down. He raised one glove hand to your face. Tracing the scars marring your slack expression. Brushing his fingers against the bruises littering your jawbones and cheeks. Maybe there was a better option.
A frown started to tug at Dream’s lips. The poor thing that rested in his arms. They were in far over their head. This was their so-called friend's fault. Sending them to their death just so they, absolute scum, didn't have to fight their own wars. You were sent instead. Like a lamb to the slaughter. One day you would realize that you were fighting for a lost cause. Dream would never be defeated. He could never die.
You had to be taught that all of this was in vain. There was no way for you to win against him.
Scarlet blood trickled from a small wound on the top of your head. The wound Dream had inflicted not a full minute ago. The wound was going to cleave a hole through your head, and instead he just hit you really hard. Your head was going to hurt a lot once you woke up. Of course, he wouldn't give you any pain killers once you woke up.
Poor kid, Dream thought, sighing as he fixed his mask. It was such a shame he was so lenient. It would be easier to just leave you to die, but he wouldn't. He adjusted his hold. Pulling the fallen ‘hero’ a bit closer to his chest.
As much as Dream hated what was going to come, how much pain he was going to inflict, it had to happen. You had to endure it to send the proper message to your so-called friends. It was a necessary evil.
Maybe then they would finally realize the truth. Dream will never die.
