#ThinkEatSave, Gisele Bundchen, & Today Show: Reducing the Carbon Foodprint
As posted on her Twitter Page, Supermodel Gisele Bundchen will be on the Today Show at 8:45 this morning (September 19th) to discuss the importance of reducing food waste in today’s society.
We are incredibly wasteful with our plentiful resources and it is important that we remember to share our resources with those in need - especially if we’re going to throw it away. Why half consume (waste) and throw away when we can be sharing the unused portions to aid global hunger. No child nor belly deserves or really needs to go hungry. We just need to be less selfish, less mindless, and more aware when it comes to the flow of resources and in reducing our carbon foodprint, if you will.
Personally we’d like to see food distribution organized in a way that is safe for the top eight food allergies - as severe food allergies do not discriminate by race, nationality, or by economic class. It is important that we give those in need the same food allergy friendly options that we extend to our customers. We are all human and deserve the same loving care, sensitivity, and safety precautions. Regardless of our demographic and household income.
Manja adores Gisele, her thoughtfulness, and her purity of heart. She seems to be involved in quite a few food society (global spectrum) charities and causes. She also promotes and endorses a number of quality foods and goods, a few we have reviewed on Manja’s blog as well. Thank you to Bundchen for being a positive and empowering female celebrity role model and using your fame for social good.
Power to the She!
Manja!
