Murlocs. Just... Murlocs.
All was quiet in Ironforge for a time. Only the sounds of the Great Forge being worked out constantly filled the surrounding area, as well as keeping the mountain city warm in the cold of Dun Morogh. However, in that small little abode tucked away in the Mystic Ward, things were not so quiet as music began to rumble out from the workshop connected to the corner house. A deep bass sounded, squeals of guitar and the slamming of drums. What exactly was going on inside?
The workshop had speakers of all kinds around the entire room, hooked up to a console near the far wall of the room. As the Gnome sat at the large work table, he had a wrench in hand, having been working on his latest inventions. He could be seen moving back and forth to the tempo of the music… it seemed deep down, this little one was quite the metalhead. His favorite group having been exactly what one would think… Elite Tauren Chieftain. He even stopped a few times so that he could jump around as if he were in the crowd of one of their concerts; dancing, headbanging and everything. Arms rose up in the air with his index and pinky fingers raised. “I am MORE THAN A FISH! I am MORE THAN A MAN! DEATH WILL RISE FROM THE TIDE!” He rose his head up and waved his arms around, literally flailing them. “MRGLGLGLGLGL! I AM MURLOC!”
He broke out into laughter, falling on his back and rolling around on the floor from how hard he was. After he caught his breath, he hopped back up onto his feet to make his way back to the table. “One last adjustment… and you’ll be done!” He screwed in a loose bolt before stepping back as the machine came to life. It was a murloc mech! He had been listening to that song way too much recently… It was his favorite after all. It even had the normal spikes that one would on it’s back, those mechanical eyes clicking as it looked toward Manny with that side view before facing him. “Welcome to the world, T-3-M! Let’s see how your legs work!” He reached up and hefted the small robot before setting it on the floor, watching it take careful steps, searching all around the room before bumping into Manny’s leg. It even sounded just like a regular Murloc, only mechanical whirring replacing that. “Good job T-3-M! Let’s call you Tim! Sweetums is gonna think you’re absolutely awesome!” The machine whirred as it’s chest opened up, even producing a miniature machine gun. “Soon we’ll have an army of murloc mechs! They’d never expect you!” He still had no idea that Argus was even gone from the sky, having spent most of the days at home within Ironforge.
He walked over to the console after the song had finally ended, making sure it was shut off before ascending the stairs and then descending them out of the workshop. “Sweetums! Sweetums! Look at what we have now!” He called out as he ran to the door, the murloc quickly running right behind him. He punched in the code for their home and moved inside, expecting her to be there with some glitter to surprise him. But… it was quiet. Nobody was home. “Sweetums? Are you home?” He called out, even going upstairs to check the bathroom if she was in there. Nothing. Little did he know, she had left upon a ship and was coming home soon enough. “I’m sure she’ll be back… Kinda odd, though. I really hope she’s okay... Come on, Tim, let’s go test out your guns! She’ll love to see you!” He exclaimed as he went running back down the stairs toward the workshop again, the little legs of the mech running and keeping up with him. Oh, the inventions he made… What a creative little thing, he was. He only wondered where in the world she had gone?
