Pascal Viscardi - The Warmest Color [FRLV008] (2016)

A new EP on Frole Records is coming out mid February with an original track from the Italo/Swiss producer Pascal Viscardi, who is slowly making a name for himself in the Underground Industry. After a great EP on Traxx Underground with a wicked Fred P remix, now he’s back with his pure deep sound and one on SAFT. 

‘The Warmest Colour’, main track which gives the EP its name, has a laid back house groove, smooth baseline, high strings, rides that come in and go away and a black male voice loop that sounds like ‘’At Home’’. Berlin based Kindimmer brings in some more percs and a different synth line, but still manages to keep the smooth sound of the original composition. After he’s been selected by Steve Bug for his label Poker Flat & by Ralph Lawson for 2020Vision, he is finally getting the attention he deserves.

German producer ManooZ , who recently had a track on the Beste Modus sub label Beste Freunde - which was a proper stomper btw - brings a more head down/lo-fi vibe compared to the original track. Rolling 909 toms, crispy hats and off-beat sub give that ‘’basement’’ touch, classic of Manuel’s Productions. French producer Toni Be is the man in charge for the last remix on the EP. With releases on great underground labels such as Soul Notes & Fulbert’s Rawthenticity, has gained a good reputation amongst the vinyl heads. Probably the deepest cut of the EP, you can hear the same vocal as the original, great sub-bass and tight percussions, a great track for those coming down moments.

ManooZ - Weekenda (Release Date: July 1)

Dass wir mittlerweile fast jeden Monat über ManooZ berichten ist weder Zufall noch Vetternwirtschaft, sondern einfach eine Selbstverständlichkeit angesichts der unglaublichen Produktivität des Mannheimers. Dass nicht nur der Output, sondern auch die Qualität stimmt, hat sich inzwischen bis an die amerikanische Westküste herumgesprochen, wo die Redakteure von XLR8R seinen Beitrag zu unserer ersten Compilation Blank Tracks #01 so feierten, dass er in den Top 20 des Monats Mai landete. Sein neuester Track Weekender erscheint gerade auf einem Vinyl-Sampler des jungen britischen Labels Midnight Love Club und ist, wie der Name schon verrät, ein klassischer Clubtrack mit Ambitionen für die heißen Phasen des Wochenendes. Selten kam einer seiner Tracks so grimmig daher, die gewaltige Power der Bassline wird nicht wie so oft von deeperen Elementen kontrastiert, sondern von den peitschenden Hi-Hats und Splashes zusätzlich verstärkt. Wer noch einen zeitlosen Kracher für ein Primetime-Houseset gebrauchen kann, ist mit diesem Track sehr gut beraten! ManooZ Midnight Love Club Juno
