A Manora dance performance.

Manora or Nora is a southern Thai dance style.

It is theatrical, musical and acrobatic.

Many of the stories acted out are taken from the jataka tales.

Dancers wear costumes that evoke bird-like imagery, including long finger claws, a bird tail and a shawl that opens out like wings.

They also wear elaborate beaded costumes.
