Also I believe the staff said spike's p much a teen now? I dunno but I remember something like that. Also we don't know when thorax hatched or how changelings age compared to ponies? Maybe non-royal ones age quickly, maybe slow, we don't know anything abt their biology tbh :v it's all left up to headcanons I suppose

yeah basically, i mean i dont believe spike is a adult, but he’s basically like 13-14 at the moment. mlp never releases any ages of any pony, we just know that a few of them have had birthdays before and that’s pretty much it.

changelings are basically bugs (i mean, thorax is a play on ‘stag beetle’ looking similar to a deer but also a beetle), and were basically bred solders from Chrysalis so if they psychically age quicker then normal ponies then i wouldnt be surprised. and like i said, thorax might be a lot bigger because he’s considered the king now and seeing that’s how all royal ponies are, just tall, then that’s probably why they made him taller. 

so who knows, nobody will release ages, so it’s just basically 'baby/child’ ‘teen’ ‘young adult’ ‘adult’ ‘elder’ ‘immortal’ for ages and nothing specific.

He does really rock the Changeling look, indeed, and you really captured the sense of mysterious craftiness of such creatures! While I do prefer our regular, adorkable purple goth kid, I like how a palette swap of him, with his same mannerism, can pose a serious and even kind of creepy threat. :D
