I was digging far, far back in this blog’s history when I came upon an idea that I won’t speak of here, but it made me think. About the Mantreads, specifically.
(+) +75% resistance to knockback and airblast on wearer
(+) 200% increased air control while blast jumping
(+) Deal 3x falling damage to players you land on
A little bit scattered. I can’t really see what goomba-stomping and sentry-rushing have to do with each other. But if you add in air control and twist it just a little bit...

(I kept the goomba-stomp mechanic because it’s funny. Doesn’t really need to be there though.)
This one’s dedicated to the jumping, roaming, Medic-popping soldiers out there. It’s a perfect weapon to blast into the air with before you land among the enemy team - but make sure you don’t empty your clip, and make sure you don’t take too much damage. You may be safer while you’re in the air, and you certainly won’t get sent away by a Pyro or Heavy, but getting in and getting out are two different things.
Just because of the amount of positive attributes on this thing, I worry a little, but it feels fair enough. It suits the roaming playstyle of soldier more, which is by all means a valid enough style to afford a weapon for it. Trouble is, is it better than the Gunboats...
