River chuckled and took the phone, shifting it to video and focusing it on Lucas. He smiled, seeing how natural Lucas was to this, how happy and genuine he looked. He loved this, he loved seeing him this happy and excited about thing.
River: It's recording, Sunlight -he grinned- So we have here the brightest of stars, my lovely Sunlight, about to show you what is one of the most interesting dishes I have seen in a while. I'm used to food that is already assembled, food you must assemble yourself is new for me! What do you think?
Lucas: Well they do things like this.. but never seen anything like it. - he starts to explain the dishes much like the waiter just did for them, before he looks at River and the camera again. - What I was told in Japan was that you taste everything, then you'll know what you want to mix together.
His eyes fall on River for a bit, then he looks back at the camera.
Lucas: I suggest you come here, and you try it yourself someday, and me and my boyfriend here who is really working hard to make me blush on camera, will tell you what we think afterwards. -he winked, then waited for River to stop recording, when he did, he chuckled. - Nah, I am not quite there where I want to eat on camera yet.
He held out his hand to take his phone back from River, putting it next to him on the desk. For the first time in so long he was looking forward to putting stuff on social media. This time it would finally be his, and he would show what he liked.
Lucas: I vote we test all this!
He chuckles happily and takes one of the small forks with a bit of meat from the first plate, holding it out to River so he could have a taste before he did. Maybe it was silly but it made him slightly happy to do silly things he had only seen in movies. River smiled brightly at Lucas, a smile that crossed ear to ear. He leaned forward taking a bite out of the food Lucas held out for him and he made a small pleased noise.
River: Humm. This is very good!
He watched Lucas, unable to keep the smile off his face as he watched how eager and happy the young star was with all this. His eagerness reminded him of Rylan and he looked at the plate. He had never brought Rylan out for dinner at a fancy restaurant, he admitted. Well, he would not make this mistake with Lucas, he wanted to be a good man for Lucas, he wanted to make him happy.
River: How about this? -he picked with a fork a bit of green veggie and held it out for Lucas- Doctor’s orders, a green a day, keeps Vy away.
Lucas: I am sure it takes more than one green to keep Vy away.
