In My Father's House are Many Rooms
1 Let not your levavot be troubled [14:27]. You have emunah (faith) in Hashem. Also in me have emunah (faith). [SHEMOT 14:21; TEHILLIM 4:5] 2 In the Beis Avi there are many me'onot (dwelling places, permanent residences, homes, cf 14:23); if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a makom (place) for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a makom for you, I am coming again and will receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. — John 14:1-3 | Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB) and English Revised Version (ERVB) Orthodox Jewish Bible Copyright © 2002, 2003, 2008, 2010, 2011 by Artists for Israel International and The English Revised Version of the Holy Bible, which is in the public domain. Promises || Many Rooms
Image Description: The picture is of a girl sitting on the ledge of an open window. The room is dark, but outside is lighter. The tops of buildings are in the distance. The picture is divided in half in the middle. In white, the top says, “Your words they cut like blades when you run them across my pain.” Also in white, the bottom says, “Like you could just say anything, and I won’t feel it.”
bands that ur legally required to listen to at least once b4 u die
owel: really good poc-fronted indie rock band that sounds like an entire orchestra sometimes. listening to their album dear me in order is like ascending seven times in a row aajsjfjsnsn. ive got super gay memories abt them pls listen to owel (favorites: snowglobe, didn't i, albert and the hurricane)
many rooms: some of the songs have super christianic overtones if you are or are not into that but if u want to get kicked in the face while being taught the definition of hauntingly beautiful i highly recommend them (favorites: the nothing, promises, danielle)
skeleton staff: they're an australian virtual band (like gorillaz or studio killers) and their music is super funky; there's a huge range of genres in their discography from shit like classic rock to disco music. really active with their fanbase on instagram too u just gotta dm them and they'll have a conversation with u! (favorites: i told you i was poor, it's murder, art girl)
(feel free to add on !!!)
Many Rooms, “The Father Complex”
There’s a gossamer haunting yet meditative soothing beauty to 99 Proofs, a delicate and hushed gem from Houston’s Many Rooms. It’s a tender eulogy that takes on the behemoth issue regarding clergymen and abuse that has recently taken over the news cycle again. If you were to strip down some of the the autumnal atmospherics of Daughter and paired it with the exposed sincerity of Julien Baker, it might sound like this quietly reflective, poignantly meditative song. Many Rooms is currently working on her next album. 99 Proofs is out on Other People Records.
Do you look into all those scars?
