A CONTINUATION OF WHAT I WAS SAYING ABOUT LACKLUSTER ABO FICS LAST NIGHT

instead of Alpha’s having to mark omega to claim them what if it was the other way around…? And this might not be an original idea but I haven’t seen it anywhere else tbh?

BUT what if alphas can bite omegas but the mark won’t take if the omega doesn’t want them but when an omega claims and alpha the mark will be there forever…that alpha is now bonded to an omega.

Of course modern medicine exist and the alpha can get some type of surgery to remove it, but why would they want that?

They had an omega choose them, the omega wants them to take care of ‘em, the alpha should feel honored and maybe a little ashamed that an omega had to go through such a thing to get their attention instead of them just knowing what their new omega wants from them.

This situation happened after the omega finishes their heat. They see a big purple mark on their heat partner’s shoulders and the first thing they think is “oh no 😟” . They start apologizing to their big confused alpha and saying things about them taking responsibility and paying for the surgery.

The possibilities are endless when you give omegas power in fics!!!!!

LAMB TONGUE!

So... I ordered 2 kg of lamb tongues from a supplier who usually delivers to restaurants, but in these odd times also straight to consumers, and cooked a storm.

First I cooked the lot in a pressure cooker until soft

Then peeled them (the skin is quite tough)

Then hot-smoked some over woodchips - to be used for potato salad and bread topping later

Then marinated some in vinaigrette - to be used for a leafy salad in a few days’ time  

Then pan-grilled some - for tonight’s dinner

Lamb's tongues are pretty small, under 100 g each, so 40 minutes in a pressure cooker with carrot, onion, peppers and parsley for 28 tongues was enough (I would have used celery too but alas, had none 😔). The meat is then really soft and tender, melting in the mouth!

Four tongues were sliced in pieces and marinated in coriander, parsley, mint, basil, garlic, cold-pressed virgin olive oil and Spanish sherry vinegar. 

Ten tongues were smoked in a wok with hickory chips for about 10 minutes, on our balcony on top of a camp cooker.

Four tongues were pan-fried and served with fried mushrooms, asparagus, wilted beetroot leaves and chimichurri. Yum! 😋

I left two smoked tongues in the fridge for bread and froze all the rest to be enjoyed later... 😙😁
