All the odd numbers, please, lovely 💛
Thank you, Schmetterling \o/
1. What is your go to flavor of salad dressing?
This would be so much easier if I actually ate salad. When forced: Balsamico-Mustard-Dressing or French.
3. What TV show can you quote the most?
This has to be a tie between TMNT (2003) and Spongebob... I’m not sure what that says about me, to be honest.
5. What’s your study routine?
- tell myself that this time I will do everything orderly for sure- play video games a lot- put it off until the last minute- speed-read and cry- ???- success
7. Hot showers or cold showers?
Are warm showers an option? I hate cold showers (except on super hot days), but hot showers make me faint...
9. What age were you given “the talk?”
When I was six my parents bought me and my sister a book with the title “Mama, Papa, wo kommen die Babies her?” (Mum, Dad, Where Do Babies Come From?) I was never formally given the bees-and-flowers-talk but I kind of figured it out from there.
11. What’s one Halloween candy that you would hate getting as a child?
Germans haven’t started celebrating Halloween until about five years ago (and even then, not with much success). But we have St Martin where I come from, which has kids going from house to house with lanterns singing for sweets. And there’s always that one family that has a sign on the front door saying “we promote healthy childhoods” and they’d give you oranges and walnuts. Here’s the thing, if you are one of those people: it is not your job to make sure we get our vitamins. That’s our parents’ job. Just let us kids have this one night, you cheap old assholes.
If we are talking proper candy, though, I used to hate Milky Way (and am still not fond) as well as Nimm 2 Bonbons. Ew.
13. What’s one slang term you refuse to use?
All of the offensive deragory ones (you know the ones, for different groups of non-white people and non-straight people and non-male people). N*, G*, Q*, F*, B*, T*, take your pick.
If we are talking ‘innocent youth slang’, I was never good at that. I use everything I hear at least once, but 99% of the time it’s meant ironically...
15. Hardback, paperback, or e-books?
E-books, then paperback, then hardback. I love a good, sturdy, beautiful hardcover book as much as the next person, but in my life, being able to take it with me easily has always beaten and will always beat beauty and smell. (Although I do love the smell.)
17. Do you keep your car/room neat or messy?
Messy. Not on purpose, obviously. I go through phases where I clean excessively, but it never lasts. Except for the immediate kitchen area, where dirt and stains make my skin crawl.
19. If I looked in your wallet, what would I find?
About 50 receipts from different stores; a crumpled 5€-bill, hidden between the receipts; too many 1ct-coins; so many photos of my friends and family that they fall out every time I open my wallet; two credit cards; my ID, health insurance card, and driver’s license; bonus cards for GAME, GameStop, ADAC, and too many other shops; and my student ID and library pass.
(I need a bigger wallet.)
