i don’t know what movement, let alone a revolution, has not been led by a person or a party.

there is no way in hell the AMERICAN people specifically are going to magically rise up against the fascism they voted for??? they can barley read???

this isn’t meant to be elitist but, just objectively, a nation that has been soaking in red-scare for the past century and some change, with horrible systems of education, aren’t going to suddenly become revolutionists on their own accord.

in the same way MAGA and Blue-MAGA has been able to capture different secs of the nation, a socialist party need to put in the work to do the same.

and it shouldn’t start or end with propaganda. an ideal party would spark interest and gain trust of the populist by providing mass amounts of mutual aid and support for communities in their name.

yet, instead of this, every socialist just wants to sit on their ass, bitch and moan online, and pray it’ll magically appear out of thin air.

there was a post all over my feed this morning so i feel like i have to say this... "i don't dream of labor" isn't about not wanting to contribute to society btw! it's about that our dreams in life shouldn't be about how we make money!

you guys are very correct, there will still need to be people doing the "bad" jobs/ the hard ones. how is it helping to diminish those people by telling them they should dream of a different "better" kind of labor? we are not conservatives saying "mcdolands worker only deserve $7.25 an hour but must make me burger right now at 2am!"we're saying mcdolands guy can still be the mcdolands guy but his dreams shouldn't have to be unrelated to how he keep a roof over his head and food on the table. capitalism is what prevents that freedom.

btw mcdolands guy is YOU. it's ME. it's EVERYONE who is one paycheck away from being homeless. (if you're american, over half of americans btw!) i don't think we grasp how much the wealthy make off of our labor. your body and physical health are the cost. we absolutely do not have to be living this way.
