Not Spanish, but these are my thoughts on the recent Mapi incident.

People are talking about a one-second video, distorted by perspective, was slowed down to nearly ten seconds by sensationalist media outlets, fueling widespread rumors. But how many people actually watched the live match? For over ten seconds prior, the opposing player had been engaging in unnecessary physical contact, pulling, and provocation. That’s why Mapi stated in her declaration that the opponent bumped into her first, so she touched the opponent’s thigh and said, “What’s your problem?” Even RCD Espanyol director's statement had to admit that Mapi did not utter the alleged insult involving sexual organs. How many of these accounts that spread the rumors have clarified about this?

How many people criticized her attitude, claiming she should apologize first. But how can she apologize for a severe, principle-based accusation if she truly didn't do that?(Meanwhile, if she truly did not touch the opponent’s private organs, she faces accusations of sexual assault and abuse everywhere she goes, yet you hypocritically focus only on demanding she apologize for 'touching a thigh' (because you now claim that such an act also constitutes sexual assault).

Espanyol first released a vague statement, framing the narrative by claiming their player’s “private area” was touched but didn’t report it during the match. Later, they said the player “needs time to calm down” and “doesn’t remember,” yet ultimately refused to file an official complaint or allow RFEF to investigate, claiming they’d “leave the decision to the player.” Meanwhile, after Mapi Leon issued her statement, FC Barcelona and the entire dressing room publicly supported her, and Mundo Deportivo reported that new video evidence was sent to both clubs and authorities. Yet the player and club have remained silent, allowing a tidal wave of attacks labeling Mapi a “sexual assaulter” who “belongs in jail.” Is this appropriate? If people insist that a thigh touch during on-field tension—without context, evidence, or intent—constitutes sexual assault, then Spanish law might as well be obsolete.

If there 'were' illegal contact with private parts, do you really think RFEF would refuse to investigate. And Liga F official publicly stated in a match interview they won’t act? Only legal illiterates or rival team trolls would believe Mapi “escaped punishment” (especially when RFEF views her as a thorn for quitting the national team 😅). If she truly violated someone’s privacy, her fans would have no reason to defend her. But letting her reputation be destroyed over baseless claims is equally wrong.

The irony? Those crying, “The victim just wants to live normally, but the criminal remains free!”—do they not see their contradiction? You claim to “want to live normally,” refuse to take legal action, won’t clarify the facts, yet complain the accused isn’t “automatically in jail”? Absurd.

For the end of the UEFA Women's Champions League, I'm going to publish a little imagine of the Barcelona players, I hope you like them!🤎

You were new to Barça, you were excited to be able to play alongside your sports idols such as Alexia Putellas and Lucy Bronze, without a doubt FC Barcelona had marked your passion for the sport.

You were with your vest warming up when you saw Mapi walking in your direction, on her way to you, you heard her talking to someone in Spanish or Catalan, maybe, she approached you and greeted you.

"welcome to the team" you both smiled, you paid a lot of attention to Mapi, to those details of her that you couldn't see well before because you had never had her so close, like her tattoos, her eyes, the curve in her lips, she was very beautiful.

"thank you very much" you answered "whatever you need, I'm here to help you" all the girls had been very nice to you, the social media manager passed by where they were recording and Mapi greeted with a 'hola' hello that you had understood!

"I can understand Spanish to a certain level" you said sure of yourself, Mapi nodded as if asking 'really?' "I'm going to check" she said "sure" a part of you was confident "let's start with an easy question 'cuál es tu nombre?" whats your name? and you were sure the answer to that was your age "I'm 22" Mapi didn't want to tease and gave you another chance "ok now' cuántos años tienes?" how old are you? "London" you said with a lot of confidence, Mapi didn't want to but she had to laugh out loud.

She found your confusion very cute "I did it wrong, didn't I?" you said bringing your hand to your forehead "no" she lied "well the truth, yes" you both laughed "but don't worry" she pointed to herself "from now on I will teach you Spanish" you were a little embarrassed about that but at least you made Mapi laugh and you realized that you would get along very well.

I mean, honestly… i came from the kpop fandoms and there was false news and scandals all the fucking time so ill NEVER be someone that hates on someone for one video and one account of facts the day after something happened.

From the video ive seen i dont think mapi did anything purposefully and the other player moved towards her when she did the hand movement. Also players push and “hit” each other all the time it could have been accidental placement etc.

Also they were both physical with each other so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly im not condemning or defending her i’m simply stating she will remain on my writing list for both blogs and i will trust in the fact her character is usually great and i see her as someone with high values and morals that wouldn’t do anything bad.

I’m also highly aware of people saying if she does this then the stuff about the jenni kiss is “hypocritical” and “pathetic“ etc. and i WILL NOT have anything related to such comments or comments about mapi sent to my asks or on my blog.

If me writing and talking about mapi somehow upsets u, ur aloud to feel that way but simply remove urself from my blog because its my choice and my writing for me tbh
