OOOhhh the ring is gorgeous!! you have no idea, it was the exact same ring that i google for lol, because i don't think lance would buy a solitaire ring and let keith wear it as a necklace and plus you said diamond(s), and i love how keith catching feels a lot faster! i love how you manage to keep them in character esp with the banter, its super cute and im very with with domestic klance even if its 'fake' domestic lol

Oh wow thank you so much!!! I was really proud of my most recent fic and was disappointed because the reception has felt pretty lukewarm. I'm really glad to hear you liked it. :D
And oh gosh I have so much to say about the Keith/Allura dynamic just by itself. I think their canon dynamic set up for such an amazing story and I'm still low-key bitter that it looks like the narrative will never really dive into that. There were were just so many blatant opportunities for the story to go there and it's like Lance was shoved in between them, ad nauseam, which has added another interesting edge to this dynamic. I do think this was probably intentional on the writers part and I do think there was a reason they did this, but I'm always going to be a little frustrated by how this end of the story was handled, especially since it often comes at Allura's expense.
I don't want to bog down this ask too much so I'll make a separate post soon about what I mean by this. But yeah, just really cool subtextual things happen between Keith and Allura, and how Lance and Shiro kinda slot into this.

And you make a really good point, too! Nyma and Keith are two very different people, who would have two very different ring styles. Fortunately, Lance is still pretty young, so I doubt he had a ton of money saved up to afford one of those “traditional” rings with a big ‘ol rock in the center (Not that men can’t or shouldn’t wear those kinds of rings -- but that style tends to look more delicate and, gender stereotypes aside, delicate is not exactly a word I would use to describe Keith LOL). Also I think the fact that Keith is wearing it on a chain, like a necklace, makes it a little more well-suited to him, too.
I actually spent a good amount of time searching for the right ring. Since it’s so symbolic to the story, I wanted to have a strong image of it inside my head while I was writing. And THIS is pretty close to what I was thinking!
