GLAD YOU ASKED ‘COS I’M TRANSLATING THAT RIGHT NOW. She’s talking so fast I can’t make out the first part of her line word for word BUT at the end she says:
Ladybug: “Chat Noir, we’re superheroes. We don’t have any choice.”
Chat Noir looks sad for a moment then moves in real close and she gasps quietly. He smiles, she’s a bit flustered, and for the first time, she accepts a flower he gives her.
Chat Noir: “I understand, Ladybug. You too, you’re my best friend.” *kisses her cheek* “You can keep the rose. It looks good with your suit.”
He leaves, Ladybug’s face matches her suit, and then she proceeds to question her entire fucking life. Probably.
You keep mentioning you did not like how they treated Mama Agreste (with her being gone a year). Can you explain why? I didn't see any problem with it.

i mean, people have ripped this to shreds and built it back up again, but i think the most telling thing was just the giant picture at the top of the stairs? why do they have that???
basically everyone ive spoken too about this issue has said that before the christmas episode, they assumed mrs agreste had been gone for at least like...3 years. theres very little said about her in the series, but the way adrien looks at her picture, how distant him and his father are, how they dont seem to be dealing with fresh loss, just loss thats hard to deal with and sometimes hurts just as much as it once did— it doesnt seem like she was gone for a year
adrien loves mrs agreste, which is made very clear in the show. if i understand him at all as a character (and honestly, im not convinced i do after the christmas episode if were being honest) i dont think hed be as ok as he is in canon if his mother had only been gone for a year.
people have countered this part by saying that mrs agreste was just as overprotective and overbearing as gabriel, but why does adrien not have any friends (aside from chloe who we can assume he was put with for political reasons and because their parents knew each other opposed to actual friendship as first)? why does he not have birthday parties? why was he homeschooled?
if you dont watch the christmas episode, it makes a lot more sense for mrs agreste to be out of the picture for a longer period of time. and honestly, i think they changed it for the christmas episode to get that ‘hard hitting’ “first christmas without his mom” angst in there
the story just works so much better if shes been gone for longer!

like cmon, Nadeshiko, Sakura’s mom has 17 when she met Fujitaka, Sakura’s dad, and wow how coincidentally that Adrien has a mother, who was also a model! which photo he has at age of 17!!!

But like, Fujitaka is actually what Gabriel SHOULD BE AS A FATHER ARE YOU LISTENING GABRIEL.
And like, Plagg is basically the fusion of Kero and Suppi???!!!
Tomoyo is like Alya, cause she is the best friend of the protagonist and most of the time voice of reason and who also finds the time to film everything no matter how risky cause she must to
(and who also has a crush on her friend. Fite me, Alya has an obvious crush on Mari. Pre and post Animan)
Sonomi and Nathalie? I mean we still dont know what Nathalie felt/feels for Mama Agreste but she will do anything for Adrien, same what Sonomi does for Sakura. Even if that means accepting the father in this (altho Fujitaka is a good man and Sonomi was just jealous. Nathalie, on the other side, has to deal with Gabriel bs, but she will do it for Adrien)
And this is just speaking of the characters cause if i start talking about the cards and the akumas...
