I think Pearl is broken....
As a person who has lived in Christchurch my whole life...
I am so utterly upset and disappointed in the media coverage of this tragic event.
Overseas media, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. Your shitty speculative reporting has consequences on us and our Muslim community.
Instead of trying to get more clicks, sell more newspapers and make more money by sensationalising the terrorist who committed this act, consider showing some respect and not giving him what he wants.
He does not get a voice.
By sharing his content, doing specials on who he is, by spreading his name, and by playing his video up to the first kill (looking at you Seven News Australia), you are spreading his message and putting others at risk.
He will not be the only white supremicist who thinks this shit is okay, so don't give him a platform to encourage others.
Unfortunately, New Zealand media has jumped on the bandwagon (albeit in a less speculative way because we have rules in NZ) and is pulling the same shit as OS media because at the end of the day, it's about money. How disgusting.
I am aware, given what I'm studying, that I shouldn't be so opinionated or rude or whatever as it may have industry repercussions for me, but if there's a time to take a stance, it is now.
My heart is with you my friends, stay safe.

100 Days of Productivity: Day Nine 📖
Ahhhh it's my boyyyy. Every day, without fail, when I go to do some study, Pearl always decides that that is the perfect time to look for pats. (Didn't post 8 to Tumblr because it had personal details on it. My main platform for posting this challenge is Instagram)
100 Days of Productivity: Day Six 📖
As much as I hate the first 5 minutes directly after waking up at 5am, I actually really enjoy morning shifts. There's something about being awake before the majority of people that's just super neat. When I got back from my shift this morning I had a Super Organise ™ so it's been a productive day.
100 Days of Productivity: Day Five 📖
New problem. I changed my phone language over to Japanese and there's a lot of kanji. Problem is I don't know what it says in Japanese but I know what they mean in a Chinese context 😞 on the bright side I think I have the Korean number system sorted 😊
100 Days of Productivity: Day Four 📖
I am a terrible big sister, I completely forgot that my little brother starts back at school in a week, not a month like uni does, so it was a last minute stationery run today. I'm also just about all the way through my Japanese book. This afternoon I'm gonna do a little Korean and Chinese since they've been neglected recently 🙄
100 Days of Productivity: Day Three 📖
I love the library at uni, there are so many useful books there. I managed to find the textbook we used in Year Nine Japanese so today I just went through marking down stuff I didn't know.
100 Days of Productivity: Day Two 📖
Quizlet is by far my favourite flashcard app, and it's been a real life saver for me recently. I'm trying to learn a new set of Japanese vocab a day for my upcoming trip and it's been really good. I also went for a bike ride, but it's the middle of summer so it was pretty hot.
