Got a question I thought you might be able to answer - I was looking into other gaul gods to worship along side cernunnos. I got some big ouchies when it comes down to mental health, major depression, anxiety, ect and I was wondering if there's any gods that I could help me along the way? I just find that our antler buddy is just a little /to/ distant for me.

A large portion of the gaulpol community on tumblr (and even more non-gaulpol) love ol’ Cerny. I’m not one of those people. Don’t get me wrong, of course I /love/ the Big Guy but I tend to be indifferent towards His activities as He is indifferent to me. Basically, there’s nothing wrong with being a gaulpol and Cernunnos not being a large part of your practice. It might change in the future, but the future is the future.

(I’d like to point that the links for each deity list ‘equivalents’ but these are distinct, different individuals who play the same roles in related pantheons)

General godfeels tend to help with all these things you’ve described, but of course the baeity is one of the top contenders. Before I get to Him I’ll list some other deities you could consider forging a relationship with.

Sirona: This Gal can really help you take your mind off things, under the right circumstances She can give you the feeling like you’re staring up at the nightsky (literally or figuratively). She helped me get over my ex, because the godfeels she gives off are those of love. She has her own tumblr e-shrine run by a buddy of mine and I’ve made her an 8tracks playlist. I was actually introduced to Sirona by Belenos before his winter slumber.

Taranis: If you’re looking for confidence, He’s got it. Be warned, The Thunderer is not for the faint of heart through (I’m not sure about that but He told me to write it). He’ll help you get done what is needed to do, even if He has to drag you through mud and dirt to get you there. He’s got his gentler side through, as Keeper of Cosmic Order. If he can keep the cosmos in order then there is a sizable chance He’ll be able to help you keep your life in order.

Now for Belenos:

 Belenos is the free soaring deity of Life Process, the components of which are Light and Water. Of course this doesn’t make any sense since I haven’t finished Belenos 102, but 101 can be found here.

Depending on the current state of winter in your area Anon,  Belenos will be more or less active. My homecity is in frozen slushy deadlock, but I have the gut feeling that grows by the day that something exciting is going to happen.

I have two playlists for Belenos, one made of trashy pop songs, the other is a more subtle playlist that captivates my growing excitement.

As far as the mental help problems, someone like Sirona can help you with the symptoms but Belenos is more of the type to help you grow tools to combat issues themselves.

So why don’t you go ahead and take a shower and dress yourself nice. Clean your room while blasting your favorite music or even one of my playlists. Think of Belenos. Smile. Sing the words of the songs. Dance in sync of your actions and the music. Do that thing you’re supposed to be doing eroghwoerghowerhtowegheogkuuyfuifiufuiytf *cough*
