i just wanted to draw animal masks so bad and I love some good ole symbolism so Cicero is a jackrabbit and maralie is a coyote :)) plus their positioning ACK i literally drew it and im analyzing it like yess.. yes the open hand and the desperate gripping and the the AAARHG

hiii im sorry for kinda abandoning my blog a little bit but im still around and making stuff!! just kinda been keeping it to myself and the servers im in ajdjfj but anyways im super proud of this Maralie piece, it's definitely my new best! ALSO i know she's not holding it 100% correct fjfjfj partially because she's actually pointing at a target, "calling dibs" on it, and partly as an artistic choice

sOOOO this took me literally. an entire month

I'm very very proud of it and I hope others like it too!!!!

The character on the right is my OC Listener, Maralie!! She's a 56 year old Dunmer woman from Morrowind, who was kidnapped in her early twenties and tortured by a group of Molag Bal worshippers and was taken to Skyrim by them.

Before this, Maralie hadn't put much thought into what she wanted to do with her life. She had a good relationship with her family, they were well off, and she was well educated- so at the time she had options. In another life, she likely would've been an author. She was bright-eyed and witty, but she still had morbid urges that she would only indulge in via writing and books. Her hair used reach the bottom of her spine, and it wasn't dyed at this time. Her natural hair color was a light grey, and she took great pride in the quality of her hair and putting it into intricate braids. After the years under the torture of the worshippers, Maralie cut off all of her hair and opted for a buzzcut for a while until it grew out enough for her to dye and style how it is now.

The Molag Bal worshippers tortured and killed her family as well (mother, father, and younger sister), so after a few years when Maralie was able to hunt down each worshipper and enact her revenge, she found that she did not want to return to Morrowind and face her heartache. She coped by turning towards the worship of Sithis, and got her tattoos in honor of her family.

She was near mid-30s when her revenge was complete, and she ended up spending another few years wandering Skyrim as a mercenary and a thief. Maralie honed her skills in sneak and archery, as well as becoming proficient in alchemy. She's not very good at any magic, only knowing how to heal her own wounds and casting a small flame, but even then those are hard for her to do.

Eventually, she found her way to the Dark Brotherhood, about two years before Cicero and the Night Mother's appearance.

I'll stop there because I wanna actually write about their story together properly soon!! :))
