What Languages I think the Marauders would learn (and why)

James: Spanish. Him and his romantic heart just would. The reason I say Spanish over an Asian language, is I assume he is already fluent in it!

Sirius: French. Just to piss off his family. I could see him doing it just to correct his family's French grammar when they speak it

Remus: German. I can't explain it. Just the vibes.

Regulus: Latin. He just wants to read the classic poetry of Virgil. Possibly also Dante's Inferno in the original language

Barty: Russian. I know a Russian speaker when I see one (it's my second language). He probably just picked it up originally because he thought the Cyrillic alphabet was interesting/funny. Then realised he really liked the language.

Lily: Irish or Cornish. I could see her learning either as an act of both defiance and honouring of cultures. Especially given that they are both languages the British Government tried to erase (particularly Irish). It just seems like something she would do
