I actually feel like Martin from Wintergatan and David Armsby are on two different ends of the “Creative masterminds who are in way over their heads on a project whose creation they've been documenting on youtube for the past few years” spectrum.
The comet of change - Wintergatan Grinder T-shirt
My main idea for this design is make it look like a comet. Keeping with the space theme Wintergatan has. With the sparks usually seen when using an angle grinder acting as the comet tail.
I have a lot more ideas to improve upon this design. Can’t wait to find the time and work on this again.

When I talk about Muggles being able to do magic, just of a different sort, this is exactly the sort of thing I mean:
Every single Wednesday I’m astonished yet again that this man and his marvelous marbleous machine are real.
what the marble machine x guy has done is brilliant in so many levels.
usually when you hype a product that takes years upon years to make the end result tends to feel underwhelming. but martin turned the multi year process of making the end product part of the product itself so that we are not just getting what would be at best a 10 minute presentation of a quirky idea and some nice music, we are getting hours upon hours of fascinating engineering and problem solving.
what’s more, by making us participate in the process to this degree suddenly we are as invested as he is in the end product. usually when you are the audience, detached from the creative process, unaware of the struggles of the creator, you are free to criticize the end result with cold objectivity, but we are not longer the detached audience. now we have an emotinal investment on the thing, it is no longer just his baby that he is going to love no matter what because he made it, it is our baby and we are all going to love it, regardless of what objective qualities it may have because we were all in this trip together.
