Is anyone else excited for the 2021 Marble League?

My team, Team Galactic, failed to qualify, but the Crazy Cats Eyes are my number 2 and they're hosting, so maybe they'll have a home team advantage (though they got 14th in the first event, so things aren't looking great for them)

The O'Rangers are O'Ver Rated, same with the Savage Speedsters and Raspberry Racers. I mean, c'mon, rooting for them is like rooting for the New England Patriots. Too predictable! Too safe! Give me the Cleveland Browns or the Chicago Cubs, I want an underdog story (I realize I'm mixing sports, but this is my post and I don't care)

I am very passionate about this.

It's 2020 and I'm still bitter about how shafted the Thunderbolts and the Midnight Wisps got during the five meter dash last year. I'm not going to say the Raspberry Racers cheated, but they didn't deserve their the clean win they got.

Context: During the event, the Midnight Wisps encountered an equipment failure and were accused of trying to sabatoge the Raspberry Racers, resulting in them being unjustly disqualified. When the Raspberry Racers competed against the Thunderbolts and two other teams, they accused the referees of a false start and had them restart. It should be noted that the Thunderbolts had a clean advantage and would have likely won.

But, instead, they got second place with the Raspberry Racers claiming first place. When it came down to the final heat with them, the Thunderbolts, and the other two teams, the Raspberry Racers won the bronze medal by a few hundredths of a second. Oh, and the kicker is that they had a very similar equipment failure like the Midnight Wisps, but they never got called out for it. They weren't accused of sabatoge, had points docked, or anything.

To add insult to injury, the jury investigated the Midnight Wisps being disqualified and determined it was an equipment failure accident and not sabatoge, and all they got were two measly consolation points to make up for it. I don't think they ever got a formal apology for it, which is disheartening because during the same event when they got those points redeemed, they were accused of being petty when they tried to talk to the referees about getting a bad shove from the starting gate. (Smh)

I hope that this will be their year to get their revenge. At least the Midnight Wisps kicked their ass during the hurdles and set a new record, but still. The Wisps aren't my main team (that goes to the Thunderbolts and Team Galactic (plus, the Kobalts haven't qualified in years)), but I just hope they'll do well since the Raspberry Racers autoqualified.
