A few hiccups but there’s powerful stuff here. I particularly like Marc Moore’s psychedelic guitar work on American Flag.

So to celebrate the new range of fancy headphones, we asked a selection of our designers what is on their iPod for the winter months…here is a few of their top pics. Enjoy, and stay tuned for more playlists to come! xx Marc Moore Designer, Stolen Girlfriends Club

Kiwi's doing it up in Oz - Part One
With only four days to go until the Fashion Week shows officially kick off, the countdown is quickly turning from days to hours.
Our very own Stolen Girlfriends Club are showcasing their latest collection on the runway on day one of the jam-packed schedule- a first time for the trio, who have never shown at Australian Fashion week before.
So I had a quick chat with creative director Marc Moore about the lead up to the big event... who describes the last week as being pretty 'manic' after 'being stuck in holiday mode for just a little too long!'
"We left everything to the last minute, and up until this morning we only had like, a quarter of the collection!"
With the collection samples still arriving daily, and a minor delay involving a volcano (which left their shoes stuck in Europe for days), the boys have been working non-stop around the clock shooting the lookbook and styling the show.
Maybe it has something to do with his laid back surfer-roots, but set-backs and fast approaching deadlines have done little to faze Moore, who says he is just 'excited' to see the collection coming together.
And we couldn't agree more! The boys have done nothing but impress us with their shows from season to season and we are pretty damn excited too to see what they pull out of the bag this time around.
The collection is entitled 'Lifes a Beach... Watch out for Crabs,' and draws loosely upon the label's aforementioned surfer roots (Marc, Luke and Dan are all surfers from way back!)
Moore explains that the collection is a mixture that is best described as 'Post-apocalyptic surf athleticism'.
"Now I am not the most intelligent person in the world but even I can understand this collection, so lets hope everyone else can."
The upcoming Sydney Fashion Week debut is also celebrating something else pretty big for the brand- their 5th birthday! From the printed slogan tees that formed the backbone of the label in its early years ( come on...who doesn't own a 'Stolen Girlfriends Club Says Relax' tee?), the label has come a long way.
"Some would say a milestone perhaps..." says Moore, “I remember freaking out about turning 2 years old, and now we’ve hit the 5 year mark, hopefully that means we are here to stay!”
With no professional design training to begin with, the trio (who began by simply making clothes for themselves and their friends) have quickly progressed over this five years. The Stolen Girlfriends Club range now extends across tees, denim, jewellery and fashion- both mends and women's.
"The brand has evolved so so much, I think probably more as a result of myself, Luke and Dan evolving. We've spent the last 5 years learning how to design clothes and run a business with little to no experience. I'd like to think that we now know the ins and outs pretty well."
Moore says that since the brands inception in 2005, their personal tastes have naturally refined and this is always something that is consistently reflected through the brands product and positioning.
"We have always been focused on having an international feel to our brand, from the very start- even before we knew what we were doing."
An international they are! Stolen Girlfriends Club is now available in 13 countries worldwide (and more if you count how many countries across the globe we have been shipping their products too via our online store!) Moore is being too modest when he says this "probably sounds a lot bigger than it is, but it's a good start."
So till then...here are some Fashion Week survival tips from Marc. Let’s show these Aussies what we’re all about!
Three rules to live by during Fashion Week…Drinks lots of water, wear cool clothes, and don’t sleep ( cause there’s after-parties every night!)
What are you packing to take with you….Lots of Water, Cool Clothes, and No-Doze Pills.
Its Fashion Week, and all the girls should be wearing….High Heels.
And the boys…Denim on Denim.
When the show is over I’ll be…thinking about the next collection!!
Stay tuned for more on Stolen Girlfriends as we get closer to the show. No doubt we will have lots of goss for you from backstage! In perfect timing just before we pack and up and go is the latest drop to arrive from Stolen Girlfriends Club’s Winter collection.
