(I kind of want to make a post about how incredibly gothic horror Princess Bubblegum is. Like, I knew that she was a mad scientist, but it wasn't till I started writing this that I realised how many things about her really are deliberate gothic horror tropes. The fact that she's also a benevolent pastel princess trope is kind of blinding, I guess?)
