I got bored and wondered what my numerous vampires looked like all put together in some various styles from their moodboards.
I have to say, I love the mix of old classic suits vs the more modern and progressive shirts 🥰
It also feels funny to me that Alistair has dropped his luxury styles with his silk brocades and fancy paisley shirts and waistcoats to start going with a more casual style (something something forming his own identity away from Vincent's style maybe???). We call that "growth" 💖
Okay, I know I'm still in my BG3 hyperfixation but it's only because... Of everything.
I just can't stop thinking about how similar Marcelon and Astarion are, man.
Unobjectively, Ast has had the worst of it, though it's not a competition but both have really been hard done by in their long lives.
They're both a touch unhinged, though Astarion has a flair for the more theatrical and dramatic, whereas Marcy is more of a quiet intelligence. But the emotional swings are real for both.
Crawling out of a grave? Yep, they've both done that. And it was both as equally traumatising for them.
Embracing, yet still hating their vampirism? Yep.
Enjoy reading? Yes.
Wear the standard, frilly vampire shirt? You'd better believe it. The only difference is the colour, Ast has white and Marcy wears black, haha.
Using endearing terms for those he's close to? Yep. Marcy favours "my dear", compared to the "Darling" Ast uses.
Poetic and articulate? Of course.
Favours survival and preservation of his own self? Yep.
Prickly and sarcastic, before being shown friendship is good for them and shows them that the world can be kind and that they can be their own self? Yes, 100%.
It's just so refreshing and jarring to see a vampire written so incredibly well, and very close to my own. Massive props to Stephen and Neil for this character that has settled in my heart to readily.
And funnily enough, with the similarities, helped me romance the guy very easily 😂❤️
