A normal and average Gridanian farm-girl-turned-hero, Valah finds her path in life drastically altered when she discovers she is a Warrior of Light and ends up being taken under Minfilia and the Scion’s wings to learn and develop her skills.
She starts off as a nervous and somewhat shy individual, but over the time spent with her new friends and found family, begins to come out of her shell and develop the confidence she needs.
Enjoys Ishgardian tea, walking through the forests, baking, Chocobos.
Always tries to do the right thing and help people, even if that goes wrong and she cannot save everyone, she damn well tries her hardest to.
I’zerah “Izzy” Tia ⚙
Engineer

A carefree, happy and flirty Miqo’te who styles himself as an Engineer. Izzy adores anything technological and chomps at the bit to fiddle and fix anything and everything he can get his hands on. He specialises mainly in guns and gunblades, but has since branched out into airships and clockwork toys (the latter being a more personal hobby of his). He is entirely self-taught, piecing together the knowledge taught by his mother and skills picked up whilst being on his own.
Originally from Gyr Abania, he runs his own little workshop in Ul’dah to make a living.
He enjoys drinking, gambling, sex, smoking and just generally having a good time (and the trouble it entails!)
He is one of Valah’s best friends (alongside Rena) and is always happy to help her out if she needs him.
As of Endwalker: Izzy supported Valah in Garlemald, staying for a time to help secure and repair the ceruleum generators and the power systems. He then returned to Ishgard where he is currently staying, back in his workshop with his boys Mattie, Blaise and Alain.
Je’zehl “Jez” Tia ☀
The Blood Lotus

He styles himself as a mercenary and monster-hunter, taking any job for the right amount of coin to keep himself fed. He values martial prowess, justice, kindness and honour above all else.
He picks up the Samurai style of blademastery when in Doma, developing the alias of the “Blood Lotus”.
He enjoys sparring, meditation, origami and fishing.
Je’zehl met a man called X’alih Isobe when he was in Doma, where the two were thrown together to survive and slowly became friends.
As of Endwalker: Jez, Weiss and Alih helped Valah in Garlemald before retiring to places unknown. Though usually wherever Jez is, Alih isn’t far behind.
Riyo Kusakari 🌸
Doman Hummingbird

Young and innocent, Riyo is always protected and looked after by her older brother. The injuries she sustained when their tribe was attacked resulted in her being burned on the left side of her face, and losing the sight in her left eye.
She is entirely sweet and loves meeting new people. Also loves frogs, rain and flowers.
She mas a magical affinity and makes a living as not only a healer and medic, but also as a fortune-teller and diviner. Her lack of sight means she has taken to channelling her aether to “see” people properly.
As of Endwalker: After Riyo and Hiko assisted Valah in Garlemald, they moved on to Radz-at-han to stay for a time.
Arleaux Raniere 🐺

Known as “The Wolf of House Raniere”, Arleaux made a name for himself by being one of the most renowned dragonslayers in Ishgard. His family is known for his father, the Inquisitor Esteban Raniere, whose family bloodline contains those telltale golden eyes.
Arleaux proved himself as a top Dragoon in his lifetime, being faithful to his cause and to his homeland, before his unit was betrayed by Heretics from within and caused him to become bedbound for 6 months with severe injuries. The damage to his hands meant he would never hold a lance again, and so Arleaux turned to following his father and became an Inquisitor and spy, using other skills to sniff out and hunt down Heretics in revenge and to benefit Ishgard to keep out the rabble.
He is sarcastic, nasty and selfish, always thinking he is better than everyone else.
During his spying work, he ended up working for the Black Flag, a smuggling company operating out of Limsa but this was a cover for a job, a job he had taken to assassinate a certain Xaela. During the ruse of an escort mission, Arleaux and his target became trapped in the Ishgardian blizzards and sheltered in a cave. It was during this time, that he began to learn more about his mark, known as Yeren and uncover more details about his job.
As time went on, Arleaux began to fall for Yeren, and in the end he couldn’t follow through with the job. His client, Yeren’s twin brother Charan, turned on them both and attempted to kill them before they managed to escape. But the damage was done, with Arleaux’s true purpose being outed and Yeren feeling betrayed. The two parted ways in grief, leaving a broken Arleaux left to nurse his wounds and his pride.
To make things worse, Arleaux was thrown in prison on his return to Ishgard and cast out of his house, disowned by his father and taken under the wing of his arch enemy and rival - Gaverial Thievnaix, where he was given a chance to work for him instead.
As of Endwalker: Arleaux and Yeren are married and take to working under Gaverial’s banner as his agents. Arleaux has renounced his title to his house and has trained hard to recover and take up the lance of a Dragoon again. A dream he never thought possible.
Rena Skyfarer 🏴☠️
The Captain

Originally from Dalmasca, the Garlean occupation of her home forced Rena into sky piracy to make a living and to escape the Imperial’s stranglehold on the people.
She was born with a silver tongue and a sharp trigger finger. She sees her crew as her family and would do anything for them, but never mistake her easy-going attitude for any form of weakness as she can defend herself readily. As well as being down to drink her cremates under the table, she can also rely on her more feminine wiles to charm her way into trade deals and benefits to both parties.
She is usually accompanied by her Esper crew, known as "her boys” -- Lucky the Moogle, Richter Quinn and Hunter Vance. Often times she complains that she has to wrangle them like a mother, but deep down she knows she wouldn’t be anywhere without them.
Her time spent at home working in her aunt’s bar allowed her to develop a knowledge and passion of multiple cultures and languages, and to also be a skilled barsmith and cocktail maker. Her close friends will find themselves gifted with their favourite flavoured bottles of mixers made by her.
Rena and her crew currently work under the Eorzean Alliance’s banner, delivering supplies and helping out when the need arises. Which is also how she met Valah and became one of her closest and dearest friends.
As of Endwalker: Rena is currently dating Hadrefort Branchais, an Ishgardian noble whom she met when her ship crashed out in the cold and snowy climate. Though she still works her pirate gigs on the side, she is still on call to help Valah whenever she needs.
Alric Blacke ⚡
The Stormrider

A man whisked away by foreign magicks and found himself thrown into a strange new world called Eorzea. Alric is a Summoner from another shard known as “Spira”.
He has magical affinity and is an accomplished mage, mastering all manner of elemental spells with a little healing mixed in. He styles himself as a Battlemage.
Unknown to most non-magical onlookers, he is linked to the fayth of Ixion with their aether combining when Alric’s blessing at Djose Temple went wrong. However, the creature has a tendency to behave like a wild animal, lashing out if Alric is in danger and causing lightning to arc from his body if he cannot control it.
Alric has spent a significant amount of time in this new world, seeing Limsa as his most familiar home as it reminds him of Luca -- his true homeland (though they are severely lacking Blitzball!).
He is easygoing (if not a little nervous upon meeting new people), enjoys swimming, researching technology, old magic and ruins.
He is also one of Valah’s closest friends, encountering her during her adventure and conceding to her when she defeated him in a friendly battle of skill. Out of all of her friends, Alric is one of the only ones who can stand on her level of power as a Warrior of Light.
As of Endwalker: Alric is dating Rhiawen Auryon and lives in her cottage in the Shroud. He spends his time between being a simple farmer in the gardens, to exploring ruins and new places with his love. His connection to Ixion has been restored and has unlocked more of his aetheric potential, allowing him to summon multiple Aeons not recognised in standard Eorzea such as a distinctly bestial version of Ifrit, and a birdlike entity he calls Valefor.
Jace Argyle ⚔
Kingpin

Known in the underground circles for his swift switchblade and being the crimelord Dingo’s right-hand-man, Jace is used to getting his hands dirty working for his boss. But his personality couldn’t be further from a bloodthirsty thug, with Jace pairing up with his partner-in-crime Tarah, to help give aid to the more poor and downtrodden in Ul’dah. Jace himself works for a paycheck to support his sick daughter and prefers to run his own black market cells as non-violently as possible.
He is charismatic and charming, always thinking two steps ahead in a conversation with a potential ally. He’s had more than enough threats and daggers at his back to learn to be cautious before he even considers taking on any new recruits into his circle, but if you have potential, then you may yet catch his eye.
As of Endwalker: Jace is running his cells in Ul’dah as the Kingpin, feeding money into the right hands to keep the wheels turning and trying to make the situation better for refugees. He is now married to Tarah and has recently had another daughter with her, named Kat.
He helped organise safe places and shelter for those fleeing from the chaos, sending Tarah, Kat, and Mouse to Ishgard to shelter within the Branchais estate while he stayed behind with Liddy, Malique, Mhassie, Tutu, Dina and Spencer to keep order.
Frost ❄
Voidmage

A Xaela shaman who was cast out for communing with the spirits of the dead. In reality, Frost is a quiet and curious sort who simply wishes to learn more about the Voidsent and their culture. He is nomadic by nature, and rarely speaks but holds a kind and compassionate heart buried beneath a mask of ice.
Frost styles himself as a Voidmage and uses spells that can bind the creatures of the Void itself, he is also capable of summoning, but this is rare due to the danger and energy involved in such a feat. He instead prefers to fight using his primal magics in fire and lightning, usually aspected with purple energy. His signature move is to utilise a whip made from lightning to strike and restrain if a creature is getting too uncooperative.
He has an inquisitive mind and enjoys reading, learning and practicing new spells and schools of magic.
Frost and Darrow are best friends and always support each other. He is a part of Eza’s family unit now
As of Endwalker: Frost was with his family supporting the refugees in Garlemald as they fled to Radz-at-han, where he did battle with Dhunan and Kira who were still hellbent on hunting the Voidsent in their party. Currently, he resides in Eza’s cottage and stays with his teacher and dear friend to learn and hone his skills.
Darrow 🦇
Nemesis

A creature not quite dead and not quite alive. Darrow woke in the Void Ark with no memory of who he was, only that he could control Void magic. He wandered the world as a Wraith, absorbing aether to survive long enough to rediscover his memories and learn what it is to be “human”.
He is often quiet and tends to observe from a distance, usually turning invisible or hiding in shadows.
It was discovered that Darrow housed a Voidsent presence inside of him, known as “Nemesis”, a creature that was violent, sadistic and destructive. Under the care of Je’zato Paniphar, a man he randomly met, he was exorcised and began to finally live life on his own terms.
As time went on, Darrow found himself in the company of more like-minded individuals who studied the Void, the Voidsent, and darker arts. People who accepted him as he was, and soon he found himself staying around them more and more to form a family unit.
Darrow is now married to Eza, the love of his life, and spends his time studying magic with Frost, baking with Astrione, experimenting with Dacien, and acting as a mentor to Eza’s sister Shisha and Shizha. He is, by all accounts, a fully functioning man in current Eorzea, the old Darrow now dead and this new man becoming who he wants to be.
As of Endwalker: After the chaos has settled, Darrow now lives with Eza in his cottage and lives his life as normally as he can.
