I missed yesterday's Meet the Maker prompt, so today on photo will cover two prompts! Yesterday was something/someone I'm proud of, and today is advice or tips. Without sounding too arrogant, I actually am extremely proud of myself. I have successfully been running my own business for three years, I have a loving and supportive boyfriend, and I a fantastic support system of friends and family (@breelovespuns, @kalkatcreates, @misskimmiemarin and @ to name a few). A piece of pro advice I would give: start your own website. If you're on Etsy, start one with Etsy Pattern or independent, and if you've only done craft shows or sell for just a hobby, definitely consider getting a website. So many brick and mortar stores are closing nowadays as people shop from the convenience of their own homes. Meet the Maker day 20! The prompt today is the design process. I honestly rarely sketch out my designs, but these are a few exceptions. Pictured are the sketches for a friend's Magic: The Gathering dreamcatcher (based on the Simic Charm card), the sketch for a custom fall dreamcatcher for @thesky_wizard, the plan for Rosie's earrings from Valkyria Chronicles, two sketches for pieces inspired by @megacrit's game Slay the Spire, and a necklace inspired by Naruto, even though I don't watch the show. Meet the Maker Day 7: the less glamorous side of making. My desk is utterly chaotic, mostly because I only have one workspace.
