Inappropriately? Inappropriately?! She's making your bed for you, you ungrateful himbo.
Felix's Adult birthday took place the night after Velma's. He combined it with a fundraising party he hosted at the Port-a-Party Warehouse, neatly sidestepped a midlife crisis, closed the place down, and raised over 34,000 Simoleans for his campaign.
Of course he went home exhausted and stumbled through work the next day, but that's the mark of a successful night out, isn't it?
The so-called highlights of playing the 64-bit version of this game include the winter season being essentially unusable, because whenever there is any snow accumulation on the ground outside, the outside scenery clips through the walls of your house. In this shot, the snow outside has added the bonus feature of disappearing Velma's bed entirely. 🙄
(Though, if any Sim could invent Air Woohoo without the ITF jetpack, it might be Velma.)
And yes, that is her maid, because it turns out her maid is kind of a snack. For whatever reason, he's not an EA generic like the maids usually are.
Leisure Day arrived again, already. Between Sunlit Tides and Isla Paradiso I had gotten used to these endless Sim summers of like, 20 Sim days, but no more.
Violet invited Velma to a pool party. Velma spent most of the party in the hot tub with three guys, so you could say she spent her Leisure Day ideally. I mean, she would certainly say so.
There's one skinny-dipper in the tub and I love the look Velma is giving him here.
Me, I'm just impressed that Marco (bottom right) kept his trunks on. Maybe he's finally becoming concerned about possible overexposure?
The party was at Marvin Towers West, a highrise directly across from Violet's backyard, down by the beach and not far from the docks.
Although the invitation had come from Nikolai, Marco's really the guy at that house I'm closest to. I kind of steer clear of Nikolai because of his hotheadedness. He seemed to be in a good mood today and I made sure to compliment the house and the party, but that's the thing about hotheads--you never know when an eruption will occur.
The party was bad, actually. Everyone kept crowding around the piano in Marco's room while someone I didn't know tried in vain to play it. I could see Marco getting tense about it, partly because you don't throw parties so that people can crowd into your bedroom, but also because he's a musician. It couldn't have been easy for him to hear one of his instruments being abused like that.
I talked to one of his roommates for a little while, then went to say goodbye to Marco. I'm not a rules-y person, but I think I might make it a rule to stick to parties on Calypso Street from now on. I hadn't enjoyed mingling with a bunch of ladder-climbing aspirational types who wouldn't take off their outerwear, for who knows what stupid reason.
Murder Misaligned (a hit, but not a best-seller) went on sale in time for it to be included in my weekly royalty payment, boosting that to almost 14,000 Simoleans a week.
And then it was Leisure Day. Mortgage or no mortgage, I don't work on Leisure Day. Instead, I went to a party at Marco's.
I had a great time catching up with everyone. At times, it almost felt as though I'd never left Elmira City. Of course, I only had to step outside for a minute to be reminded. I couldn't wear my beloved halter dress even in the summertime here.
The night wore on pleasantly enough. Before I said my goodbyes, I went to use the bathroom.
The door wasn't locked, but the bathroom was certainly occupied.
