Love at first sight. I like a slow burn only if it's not too slow, you know what I mean? I like getting to the cuteness fairly quickly. I'm not the biggest fan of the love at first sight thing but it's a little more to my taste than slow burn.

Fake dating. I love it when pretend feelings become real feelings. 😈

🧡 Enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers?

Best friends to lovers! Way less toxic and extra cute.

💛 Hurt/comfort or amnesia?

Hurt/comfort. Amnesia storylines piss me tf off.

💚 Fantasy AU or modern AU?

Is it lame if I say both? I fuck with a good urban fantasy. Buuut if I can only pick one, fantasy.

Oof this is tough. Mutual pining is usually associated with a slow burn and that can go on for way too long but I do love watching two people who are drawn to each other being a little unsure of themselves.

Reincarnation! I'm such a sucker for an undying love that endures over lifetimes.

🤍 One-shot or multi-chapter?

One shot. I have no attention span. I'll read a multi-chapter fic if I really like the writing style but usually if I see "part 1 / ∞", I tend to avoid it.

❤️ Kid fic or road trip fic?

Road trip. 1) It's more fun and B) I'm very, very, very childfree and I prefer it if my characters are too.

🩷 Arranged marriage or accidental marriage?

Wh-what's an accidental marriage? Is that...is that a thing? I don't...I guess arranged marriage by default until someone explains the logistics of being accidentally married to me. Recommend me some accidental marriage fics or something.

🧡 High school romance or middle-age romance?

Middle age. Teenagers are literally incapable of thinking clearly and the older I get, the more facepalm-y I get over their decisions.

💛 Time travel or isolated together?

Isolated together! Preferably snowed-in. With one bed. And have to snuggle for warmth. 👀

💚 Neighbours or roommates?

Hm, there's no real difference in my mind. I could go either way. I guess I'm leaning towards roommates just for convenience sake? Idk.🤷‍♀️

🩵 Sci-fi AU or magic AU?

Magic!!!! I do love aliens (obviously) but magic ignites my imagination a little more.

💙 Body swap or genderbent?

Hmm. Body swap. It'd be a great way to get to know the other character without talking to them which is interesting to me. Show, don't tell, you know?

💜 Angst or crack?

Angst. Crack sometimes tries a little too hard to be WaCkY. 🤪 (Guess who used to write crack back in the day? 😅)

🤍 Apocalyptic or mundane?

Mundane. I'm not opposed to a good apocalyptic adventure but it begins to stress me out if I read too much of it. I like more slice-of-life type stuff anyway.

This goose fucking rocks and had a crazy life!

I really just have to summarize Thomas's entire life:

He was in a committed relationship with a male swan named Henry for 18-24 years before a female swan named Henrietta showed up and mated with Henry.

Thomas was initially jealous of the pair and attacked them, breaking 2 of the 5 eggs Henrietta had laid. However, once the remaining eggs hatched, Thomas warmed up to them and helped raise them.

Henry couldn't fly because of an injured wing, so Thomas taught the cygnets how to fly.

When they needed to reduce the goose population in the pond where Thomas and the swans lived, they dyed Thomas's feathers red so he wouldn't be separated from Henry.

Henry, Henrietta, and Thomas remained in their happy throuple for years and raised 68 cygnets before Henry died in 2009. After Henry's death, Henrietta found another swan and flew away, leaving Thomas alone.

Thomas finally met and mated with a female goose in 2011 and had his own babies. However, another goose named George stole them and raised them himself.

As Thomas grew elderly and blind, he was relocated to a wildlife center where he raised orphaned cygnets.

His caretaker at the center described him as "pretty high maintenance."

Thomas died in 2018 at the age of around 40. He had a funeral that included a small coffin and a procession that was led by a bagpiper. He was buried under the stone where Henry was buried, the two finally reunited in death.

Before and after his death, Thomas has been celebrated as an icon of the LGBTQ+ community for obvious reasons.

When I was posting and sharing CC of my own, I admit, I often kept my mouth shut and skirted the edges of conflict for my own preservation and peace. But the things I've seen just from a single scroll of my feed today are truly, truly awful.

AI generated CC previews, early access CC for Paralives (an indie game IN early access), and low/questionable quality CC for sale in the Sims marketplace.

What the fuck happened where folks think any of this is okay or normal?

If we don't speak up, hold people accountable, and examine why these things are harmful, it's only going to get worse. Keeping the peace is one thing, but staying silent in the wake of the pure bastardization and exploitation of art is another.
