This ask has been sitting in my inbox for so long because I wanted to doodle the fursonas. That is NOT happening, sadly. Huge undertaking U_U Please accept this bout of text instead. And just a warning: you are getting all of my ocs (in several reblogs. There is an image limit, sadly)

Astala

Her fursona is a Pacific white-sided dolphin! She has seen the likes of them a couple of times in the Denerim harbor and she thinks they are fun! Her fursona has a ripped fin and the black has a blue-ish tint to it.

Ilanlas

His fursona is a fox! A bright orange one. He lives alone and laughs at people who do stupid stuff and everyone hates him because he's cleverer than they all are.

Sulri

Her fursona is a stoat! Elegant and deadly, and way too cute to be that murderous; just like Sulri herself ^^

Khêd

His fursona is a rat! Treated like vermin and kept out of sight, just like he has been :D

His fursona is a lion! A strong, proud and muscly lion 😌😌😌 All are in awe of his prowess, for sure

Ciar Ainsley

Their fursona is a lynx-condor griphon with moose antlers! They could not just choose one animal! That's just not who they are ^^

Surana

Their fursona is a crow! Everyone ascribes malicious intent and ill omens to them, and frankly they are owning it. Also, they like to shock people and are a trickster

Her fursona is a lamb! So soft. So white. So innocent. So harmless. Please be kind to her

His fursona is a hare! Stares into your soul, then turns around and has a panic attack. Also often hunted. He finds some amusement in that (since he's both a mage and Dalish)

Her fursona is a Friesian horse! She thinks its a warhorse. It is not.

Rethabas Aldwir

His fursona is an Asian elephant! Looks so friendly. Is very powerful. Embodies many qualities he aspires to. Also, he wanted a fursona with something like horns.

Laertes Ingellvar

His fursona is an African Openbill! This bird belongs to the family of storks, and Laertes was abandoned as a mere infant, but also! The African Openbill is dressed for funerals. Very important.

Fortunato Mercar

His fursona is a striped hyena! Snarky, has sharp teeth, makes a laughing sound. Also, many would consider it ugly, which Fortunato gets a huge kick out of

His fursona is an Ussuri brown bear! Bears are awesome! Bears will kill you. But people see them as fuzzy and friendly. He wants to be seen the way they see a bear

Her fursona is an opossum! Pink tail, makes a scene, super committed actors, and when you're little you get to cling to your mama :D Also, it's cute

Not bad, this one! Astala doesn't let herself be confrontational most of the time, so the silent treatment is fitting! She'd respond with a 'thanks' to compliments or nice things, she's not rude... But they will probably still be a little flat.

Ilanlas Mahariel

So Ilanlas is, yes, a violent person, but more than that, he's an extremely petty person. He would absolutely dump a load of work on you and wander off. Deal with that yourself. See how you like it.

Sulri Aeducan

This one I have to disagree with. There is plenty of people Sulri's stuck around despite hating their guts. In fact, her family is mostly comprised out of these people! :D If she dislikes somebody, Sulri will be all sweet smiles and innocent eyes when you're looking... but secretly, she's looking to utterly ruin you. Better sleep with one eye open from now on...

Khêd Brosca

Now for Khêd the neglect/absence one would've worked perfectly. Khêd is not a confrontational person. He's not even particularly violent. He would like to be left alone, please. He may be bad at leaving undetected (not rogue material), but by the ancestors' sodden breeches, he will leave. Even if he (sigh) has to resort to violence to do so.

Marelas Lavellan

This one sounds pretty fitting for Marelas, although at his proud 32 years of age he's quite good at talking things out and/or just keeping things professional. He isn't particularly fond of some of the people he works alongside in the Inquisition. So what? They work together and watch each others' backs all the same.

Rethabas

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yeah I can see this working. The thing is, Rethabas would not know that he dislikes somebody. He's too out of touch with his interior life for that. So he'd just blatantly ignore someone and when sb else commented on it, he'd actually be confused and deny everything while firmly believing that he did no such thing! Truly the most put together guy

Story

Before DAI:

Very shy boy, son of a controlling father and a pushover mother

At age 8, his father tries to get him to apprentice under the Keeper. Deshanna sends them away and tells Marelas to come back when he’s become his own person

Marelas starts apprenticing under Keeper Deshanna at age 15

However, his interest politics and the social station of elves in a mostly human world makes him more suited to become a traveling Keeper

Goes to the Conclave as a favor to Keeper Deshanna

During DAI:

Agrees to lead the Inquisition because a) he has the Anchor, b) he thinks he can lead without abusing his power and c) he wants to use the power to do something about the social standing of elves

Winter Palace: Gets a kick out of impressing everyone; makes a long-lasting alliance with Briala

Posessed by a rage demon after finding his kin at Din’an Hanin (Emerald Graves) slaughtered

Drinks from the Well of Sorrows and sees ancient Arlathan in hallucinations

Trivia

Very calm and diplomatic, good with people (naturally puts them at ease bc he’s so unassuming. Literally Just A Guy)

Cheerful. Enjoys mischief but is bad at it

Thalassophobia after nearly drowning once. Makes a point out of swimming and diving in large bodies of water to desensitize himself

Panic disorder. Is normally very well put together, but has recurring and unexpected panic attacks that have no clear trigger

Rating hugs - Dragon Age edition

Ages ago, @layalu tagged me to rate the hugs of my OCs, and now I can finally get to it. There will be two posts, one for my Dragon Age OCs and one for my Forgotten Realms peeps. Thank you for the tag friend!! Let's get into it ^^

Astala Tabris

Loves hugs and gives them freely. Will hug and squeeze, or hold gently, whichever is preferred. Is tall (for an elf) and has strong arms, so there's a lot she can hug with, but you will have to endure her leaning a good part of her weight on you. 9/10, especially if you like to be gently crushed.

Ilanlas Mahariel

Very choosy with hugs, and doesn't like to hug often. When he does though, it's a quick but firm hug. You are siblings in arms now! Unless you're an attractive guy and a mage, in which case the hug might linger. 6.5/10 if only because the rarity of the experience adds value.

Sulri Aeducan

Mission failed! She is grabbing your wrists in the best of cases and stopping you in your tracks. In the worst of cases, she immobilizes you and the hug turns into a backstab. 0/10, do not attempt

Khêd Brosca

He is uncomfortable. Why are you so close and why are you being nice. Suspects ulterior motives, but if given sufficient time and no further reasons for distrust, will become emotional over the hug even if it's long since past. 3/10. You made him cry!!

Marelas Lavellan

He is the First of clan Lavellan, and sometimes, physical comfort is necessary, but otherwise, he's not very touchy. Secretly desperate for receiving a hug, but it's fine, he can handle it. 7.5/10; he does his job well.

6. to lose their keys repeatedly

Ciar Ainsley! They are a Dragon Age Origins OC, intended to function as a possible human commoner origin. As to why Ciar is the most likely one to lose their keys repeatedly... well, see for yourself with this snippet set at the beginning of the Redcliffe quest:

The chantry door flew open with a loud bang. Several of the townspeople flinched and jumped up. Someone screamed. The chaos died down, however, when the figure in the doorway immediately stepped back.

"Sorry, sorry!" they called out. The voice was clearly apologetic, but even so held a note that almost sounded like laughter. "So sorry, didn't mean to startle you all. Anybody want to help me with these ducks?"

"Goodfellow Ainsley," bann Teagan said quickly. "A moment, if you please?"

"Oh!" Ainsley looked at their hands. "Sorry. I just... I had to wade through mud. I'll wash my hands. So sorry, my lord!"

The door shut again, and once more it did so loudly. Bann Teagan stared at it with unmitigated surprise. So did everybody else; nobody made a sound. Only Morrigan let out a little scoff.

They are chaotic 😌😌😌

12. to sing when they think they are alone

Marelas Lavellan! He has a lovely singing voice, rich and warm (if not deep). However, outside of stipulated rituals and other ceremonial occasions, he doesn't sing in front of people. He was incredibly anxious as a younger man and this is a holdover from that time. If he tries to sing in front of people just for fun, there is a chance his voice might just lock up and he won't be able to get a sound out. When he's alone, he enjoys singing very much, and I imagine Dalish day to day life to be full of singing and handiwork that invites singing to help pass the time.

24. to drag the other's to the dance floor

Astala Tabris. She loves herself a good dance, and she loves dancing with people. It's fun, they're all more or less in sync, she can move around to the music without thinking about any of the many things that make life hard, and just enjoy herself. And she wants to share that with the people around her, especially those she cares about. So, want to dance? She can teach you the steps ^^
