Prepare to be spammed! Me and my parents were lucky enough to be gifted tickets by the carer centre to go to the amazing experience that is @luminateuk at @margampark on Thursday 😁 and obviously I took about a million photos of the beautiful lights 💡and my beautiful family 🥰! I’d like to thank the carers centre and Luminate for the free tickets; we wouldn’t have been able to afford such a wonderful adventure ourselves. It was rather a challenge walking around the route, but we managed, with lots of morphine, buccal medazalam, and rest stops at every bench. The staff were incredibly helpful and directed us along a few short cuts 👍🏻 that made things easier! This year hasn’t been easy for The Davies Clan; I am still very much a palliative care patient with degenerative multi system disease who has daily life threatening spasms and seizures, dad’s been diagnosed with severe Rheumatoid arthritis and started on chemo, and actually got told on Thursday morning he’s being tested for further conditions and started on chemo injections instead of tablets... and mum spent a week in ITU and nearly died, and is living her life with a life limiting, life threatening chronic illness, 39% lung function, and severe pain. We all have severe pain, tbh; physically, but also emotionally. But there is always light in the darkness; one need only look for it! And after all, without the dark, we’d never see the stars 🌟! There has been so much darkness in our lives this last year, but we’ve survived. And we are so lucky; we have each other, and our amazing family and friends, and we have people and organisations that help us do awesome things like our trip to Luminate on Thursday. This was something I’d added to my List Of Things To Do Before I Kick The Bucket, so I was delighted I got to cross it off!
