I grew these Helenium autumnale from seed from a local population in an ecological restoration project. This is their second year. They didn't bloom the first year.

Most of my yard is too dry for them, but they are loving the rain garden I built near the one downspout.

Hero Form Appearance: A combination of a trick or treater's costume and YuYuYu’s Hero Form Outfits. The undersuit of the outfit is a jet black so the brighter colors can stand out- and while the main outfit is indeed yellow fading to orange, and finally white at the lower half of the sleeves, the lower half of the pants, and the tailcoat; there are accent colors of purple, gold, silver, gray, black, and white. The hat, shoes, gloves, and belt all have patterns of heleniums on them, and the only other accessory is a pair of orange helenium hair ties- that look like the flower. The flower’s petal shape can be seen in the tailcoat and collar.
