Nebula wasn’t impressed by the pity and the mercy Sharon showed her at the Halloween party. A part of her would’ve preferred to have been killed. A bigger part wishes she had just finished the fight herself. She’s irritated that she was bested, and more irritated that Sharon didn’t finish the job.

After running into her at the party, Nebula takes to watching Maria whenever she spots her. She knows she’s a member of the Panel, so she perches on a nearby rooftop and spies on her sometimes. I wonder if she is truly without fear, she wonders. She cannot figure out an answer. I wonder what that would be like.

Jessica’s on some low-level surveillance mission for the Panel. She’s perched between two buildings, a bottle of whiskey and her camera in her lap. She goes to take a sip, and she hears Sharon’s voice. We are on a mission. Put the goddamn bottle down. She pauses a moment, then recaps the bottle and focuses on the task at hand. She’ll never, ever tell Sharon about this.

Jessica will never say “I hate you” to Tony, because it’s not true. She’ll never say “I miss you,” even though it is true, because she can’t let herself.

Jessica likes that Sam knows how to asks questions without making it feel like she’s backed into a corner. She likes how he won’t mind if she doesn’t answer, even if she can feel him picking up on that. She likes how he drops the shrink act sometimes, and just laughs with her.

Walking through the Panel’s office, Jessica can just barely see Maria Hill inside her office. Jesus, she thinks. I hope that woman never assigns me shit, because I feel like she shoots you if you fuck up.
