...has as far as I can tell never built mecha suit as a mobility aid? Never has her brainpattern downloaded in a robot for general angst? Never been found in an ancient stasis chamber in a dusty lab to be rebuilt as a cyborg?

AU Idea

An AU where Shadow takes the bullet for Maria and sends her to earth, causing the events of SA2 never to happen. And Maria lives out the rest of her life telling the story of the brave hero, Shadow the Hedgehog.
