Paris Fashion Week Notes – What We Saw

Loafers Everywhere

We saw more loafers than heels at Paris Fashion Week. Gucci’s chic updated design (lighter, sleeker than the ones from years ago with the heavy soles) works so well with denim of varying hem lengths and trims. Add them to outfits with longer skirts for added versatility – to say nothing of the awesome endurance you will have when running around in a far more comfortable shoe!

Graphic Design

Many of the most photographed women this week were wearing garments with intricate beading, intarsia designs or woven metallic threads. The overall result was a parade of colors and textures that provided interest everywhere we looked. Style Icons: Bloggers Aimee and Dani Song

SIsters Aimee and Dani Song took Paris fashion week again with some serious style. We spotted the two sisters outside the Palais de Tokyo. 

Dani (@songdani) wore an on-trend all white look and created a fluid, sleek transition from top to bottom. Aimee’s (@songofstyle) outfit was more colorful, but no less chic. To add some flair, she draped a blazer over her shoulders, revealing her graphic t-shirt that said “GRL PWR,” which she explained on Instagram was in honor National Women’s Day. Their effortless California style means more as they engage with their audience: Aimee and Dani don’t just look cool, they are cool.
