The Hierophant:What is one rule or law your muse would never break?

Mun Wise: If it makes me uncomfortable, I won’t make Renko do it. 

Muse Wise: She refuses to sacrifice her independence for anyone’s sake. Of course she’ll try to be as law-abiding as she can, but she does already break several breaking and entering ones with her expeditions with Maribel. 

She just won’t exactly go out murdering people for the sake of her studies or anything that terribly extreme. 

The Hanged Man:Name a bad habit your muse can't give up.

Renko cannot, AND I REPEAT, cannot get her nose out of trouble. She sees something interesting and she’s always the kind of person to investigate it, even if it’ll get her in deeper trouble.

Her curiosity will end up getting her killed sometimes. 

Temperance:Would your muse remain calm despite the worst circumstances?

Depends on what circumstances would it be. She’d panic, but not be overly emotional. Her panic would be that her thoughts are running all over and not concentrate/focus on things and also that she would snap at people over her frustration. 

If it involves like say..a death or maybe end of the world situation. She’d act a bit more emotional, more so the death than the ‘end of the world’ situation.

The Sun:What was the happiest moment of your muse's life?

Hmm, hard to say. But I do want to say that all of her times exploring outside and investigating running around are moments that make her the happiest.She enjoys her thrills of adventure.

Overall Opinion: Very good Maribel that’s always a pleasure to read on the occasions they return from exploring the boundaries.

Okay I have not been active on here in a long time, yes hello! I will get to those replies I owe some people as soon as I can hopefully. And answer some asks too!

Rather than a "void", it would be much easier to use the elements canon already gives us and substitute it with Akasha aka the Root, which would essentially play the same role as that which you stated. Pushing stuff through the boundary works, since Maribel is originally one who already pushes through the boundary of reality and dream herself (although being capable of pulling back). I would say that, rather than the net being removed entirely (or Maribel being removed from the net), it is a case of clumsily getting pulled towards the very same boundary she is pushing towards. While she can successfully "keep her stance" on the normal side of things, she inevitably accelerates the process, which her body - or rather, her very existence, has difficulty coping with, thus leading to episodes of physical, mental and spiritual exertion (anemia, THIS CHAIR moments and so on). This could be explained as Maribel lacking enough understanding of boundaries, fickle a concept as they are, and thus being unable to have complete mastery over the power, as it simply goes beyond the abilities of a mere humans' thought processes.

On the other hand, it could also be that what's being eroded is not her existence per se, as much as her concept of "humanity" (since what she does is pretty inhumane, from a moral and logical sense)... thus putting her closer and closer to becoming something more akin to a supernatural being.

Mmh... a blondie risking to lose her grasp on humanity? Might be Arcued'ing her a bit, which leads me to visualize the scene of Renko marveling at how classily Maribel is able to devour a hamburger, but I digress. It would probably be likely that an objective of hers would become a way to reverse the process once she starts noticing the degree it has reached (or just indulging into it, if we wanna take multiple routes into account). I'm clearly not using this as an excuse to imagine her sucking blood out of Renko every once in a while.

Empathy

Empathy:

Alice is the kind of person who appears closed and disconnected from most denizens of Gensokyo. To say, she pays little mind of what happens outside if it does not concern her in some way or form, and tends to restrict interactions with most individuals to important matters, otherwise she prefers to be on her own. 

Though, that said, Alice is not an unfeeling or apathetic person; it becomes more of a case of simply her holding her feelings for a situation that truly does concern her, rather than something that she might notice on the sidelines and have little or nothing to do with.

Unfortunately, I'm not too well-versed in Fate mythos, as I've probably told you. But there's also the fact that Yukari uses knife danmaku (though it looks more like kunai than a tanto), you don't suppose it wouldn't be too far out of the question for Maribel to start carrying one around, would you? Maribel's lineage is an important detail that I looked over though, seeing how important it is in Tsukihime's Near Side routes. Of course, most of our stories would probably feel more like Far Sides

The Jewel Sword is a knife of sorts, although the name might be misleading in that regard. The fact that it can borrow power from other dimensions might be translated into shooting danmaku barrages shaped like it - when Rin uses it in Heaven's Feel, she does shoot magical beams, but having Mary blasting everything with Master Sparks would be a tad too chaotic.

Mh. How about this: considering Maribel to have a higher 'affinity' to Tohno conversion-wise, we could use Sakuya as a Ryougi expy but with strong shades of Nanaya - lacking the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception but making up with it with sheer skill, being part of a youkai hunting clan, and so on. Her manipulation of space - that which lets her pull knives out of wherever - might be because she is in possession of the Zelretch Sword and has been instructed to pass it to the last living Hearn, or something along those lines. This might or might not include a couple knifing lessons, and here I'm blatantly borrowing inspiration from Battle Moon Wars, although a tag team attack between Sakuya and Maribel might not be a thing, ahah.

We can also make this connection between Sakuya and Ryougi stronger by adding Remilia - who's blue-haired, amusingly enough - to play the role of Touko, whereas Flandre would be a fitting foil to the destructive Aoko.

This, of course, would create another series of problems with making everything fit, considering we had already decided on at least Aoko.

Let's put this aside for now, and here's an article about the Second Magic to clear some other doubts you might have had about Zelretch (if you know him anyway, in which case the link on the Jewel Sword includes his profile).

Ah, but now that I think about it, Sakuya would make a nice Satsujinki for Remilia... although the latter might make for a better Altrouge, whereas Flandre would be Arcueid by virtue of a variety of details, from being periodically sealed away to her destructive powers. God, the more I ponder about this all, the more possibilities keep springing up.

This also doesn't take in question Sakuya also possibly fitting Ciel's role, although the idea of Ichirin doing it and Unzan being Nanako of all things amuses me greatly.

There's a lot of possibilities, really, but while chaotic, it also gives us a lot of margin to decide how to make it all fit.

Kyoukaihime AU for your thoughts so we can get more down on paper. What kind of situation would lead Sakuya to give Maribel a sentimental dagger like the Nanatsu Yoru? Say Maribel's new separate personality gives her normal one murderous desires (though we'll have to discuss what triggers those). Mary would lose on account of being less experienced with a knife, despite the new eyes she got. Expanding on that, I have no fanart of Mary+glasses. Would you propose Ryougi-style eyes or Tohno-style?

Ryougi-style eyes may be the most suitable pair, function-wise, considering that the extent of their possibilities borders on ridiculous. At the same time, however, the premise behind their usage makes it so that Mary's head should have to become something akin to a psychological condominium to house a pile of personalities. I would say a compromise between the two would be the most suitable: the versatility of Ryougi's eyes coupled with Tohno's treatment - necessitating a limiter of some sort, high strain on her mental and physical health. Turn the Mystic Eye Killers into contact lenses and the image problem is easily solved.

The knife part is sensibly trickier. It heavily depends on how we're going to treat the matter of Maribel's family, thus deciding if it'll be a transposition of the Tohno, Ryougi or a compromise between the two. If we really want to exaggerate, we can throw a Fate/Stay Night deal by having Maribel getting adopted in another family à la Sakura Matou, then having something not involving penis worms (please) to awaken her eyes in the long run.

...On the other hand, going by that thought process, it occurred to me that the Zelretch Jewel Sword might be a much more fitting tool for Maribel. Kischur "Yakumo" Schweinorg leaving the blueprint for the sword to the Hearn family? Maybe I'm adding a bit too much fuel to the fire, but now the more I think about it, the more Yukari being Zelretch's counterpart seems to make sense to me, all things considered.

Maybe, instead of the sword itself, Maribel inherits the blueprints, which she can use to "guide" her sight to a dimension from whence the Jewel Sword can be pulled out?

And now that I brought Fate up, I can't help but think of Sakuya as an Archer counterpart... and Kokoro as Assassin. Oh, and Youmu/Kojirou, Yuyuko/Caster, Konpaku Youki as Kuzuki (?).

Alright, I'd better stop now, considering I'm expanding a bit too much in the wrong direction--let me just finish by adding that Sekibanki'd likely make a good Hisui and I'm done, for now.
