Finished reading Pandora. Extremely funny to me that everything Marius says in the last 50 or so pages pisses me off.

Of course he finds Pandora’s intellect entrancing when she’s a 10 year old reciting sexually suggestive poems in a room full of men. It’s like watching an impressive parlor trick or stumbling across a rare gem for him. He covets her immediately. Similarly, when she’s an adult, he’s captivated by her using her wit to fool the Legate and his soldiers. But when that same intellect results in her having different opinions than him, oh he can’t fucking stand it. She repeatedly articulates her (pretty reasonable imo) perspective on things and his only response is misogyny 😭😭.

He deserves being a caretaker to beings far superior in their knowledge and power and that refuse to even acknowledge his existence lmao
