The days are getting shorter. The Lemons and Marijn are still in the garden enjoying as many late sunrays as possible. There is a beautiful Indian summer in the air.
Citrus trees are pretty heavy feeders. The pale green leaves of both my Lemon trees show I have not been giving enough fertilizer – nitrogen deficiency. September is probably the last month I can still give them some according to their normal scheme. I am thinking about buying a specialized citrus tree fertilizer (I currently give them a more common Mediterranean mix) to rightfully fulfil their needs next spring.

Tati (playing Seraph): I’m going to use my new path power, Dazzling Golden Ray.
Hamish (playing Thaddeus): Very anime, I approve.
Tati: Thank you, thank you. 28 radiant damage, and it’s blinded!
Marijn (playing Godric): Blinded? Okay, new girl.

The sun is out and lighting up our tiny hallway on the southside of the house. I moved the Citrus club there to let them enjoy their first southern sunrays of the year.
After my overwatering struggles of last year I have held back on watering so much I might have underwatered these guys a little.. But a good soak did wonders; at the end of the day the leaves had recovered fully. I can hardly wait for night frost to be gone so I can take those babies outside in the great wild open of twelve square meters that is our garden ;D
