Goddess Girls
Released in 2010, this book series has gone on for 14 years with a total of 31 books published. It's written by Joan Holub and Suzanne Williams, who recently announced that the final book in the series was released. This was on September 23, and since then I have been trying to come up with what I wanted to say.
I've always wanted to make a video talking about this book series, as well as the Grimmtastic Girls series, but because of anxiety adhd and general silly behavior, I've never really gotten around to it. I'm writing it here, because I just have to talk about this, even if no ones listening.
The series changes narrator each book, with the focus of the first released being a "tween-age" Athena. If the title wasn't obvious, the series focuses on young Goddesses attending Mount Olympus Academy (MOA) , where Zeus is principle, But Poseidon and Hades are students strangely enough. Poseidon is one of the main antagonists of the first book , along with Medusa, who both give Athena a hard time in her first few weeks of attending MOA.
Any Epic fans might be excited to hear that one class, hero-ology, involves each student picking a hero and helping them along their journeys, with Athena of course choosing Odysseus.
I've been unable to reread the series , as I haven't been able to get my hands on the books yet, but when I do I fully intend to write more thorough reviews or summaries of the series.
I'd love to hear if anyone read this series when they were younger, but I highly doubt any people will see this.
