Hey there! I saw you were on the search for a Zutara arranged marriage fic. I saw your description & I cannot for the life of me remember which one it is! I feel like I've read it but finding it has been so difficult! I went through my favs it MIGHT be one of these from FanFiction: Ocean Wide by lostatseanomore OR Somewhere In Between by AJ Rayne. Checking through AO3 as well! :] Will send another one of these

I’m so glad that someone else feels like it’s familiar!! I was starting to think I was going crazy, since no one else could really remember it either!
So I checked out both of the fics you recommended, and Somewhere In Between is ringing a bell?! Especially the beginning. There’s definitely a chance I read this one before. It’s SO CLOSE, but I don’t think it’s the exact one I’m looking for?
I’m so conflicted! I feel bad the only part I remember is the beginning from Katara’s POV. And I remember it was like…the second or third chapter into the story, I think, not the opening..I think. The first chapter was from someone else’s, like Iroh or Zuko? I just vividly remember her walking through the halls of her father’s home, VERY MAD that she had moment’s before not been allowed in the council room, and just how she had been treated in general because she was a woman despite all her accomplishments. She goes into her rooms, she may talk briefly with a staff member of the household…I think Sokka (or Hakoda?) comes in at some point to try to calm her down. And then Iroh shows up and it cheers her up immensely. I…think she may even be the first to greet him because everyone is in a meeting? But I may be making that up…
HOWEVER, I do remember water jars exploding at some point in the story (when she finds out something she’s upset about) and Iroh bringing her a treat/gift from when his ship landed to come visit her, and Somewhere in Between has that?! So I’m wondering if maybe I’m combining two fics together, in my memory?? The Iroh part from this story with the Katara angry part from another? Ugh, but that makes this so much harder.
Anyways, thank you SO MUCH for trying to help me out!! I’m gonna read both of these fics either way, cause they both sound SO GOOD and I only vaguely remember one of them!! I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH!!
