Uh... yeah, we're staying inside. La Trinidad always seems to get the worst of the flooding around here, doesn't it? I wonder how many farmers have lost an entire crop, how many delivery drivers are getting stranded, and how many people are going to lose their homes and transportation.
I hear that some parts of Baguio have lost power, but the lights are still on at our little barangay, and the three of us are all snuggled up together under a nice soft blanket. El is sleeping peacefully while @thesurestthing and I listen to the torrent outside. (We're also skipping taking the trash up the hill until next week.)
I know we've had worse storms since I moved here (Ompong/Mangkhut, anyone?), and I'm grateful that we're all safe and warm and dry, but I can't help but think about those less fortunate who may lose their possessions, their livelihoods, or maybe even their lives, while we sit here nice and snug.
