I can't believe it's already the end of June 😱

It's been an interesting month, very busy, a bit unlucky, pretty sunny, super food-y... And I tried my first bingsoo 💙

K Street, 3905 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611

Fro-yo girl here. K Street is a Korean snack shop that opened in September 2022. I didn’t know about it even though they serve froyo. As luck would have it, I happened to drive down Broadway and see the sign that said smoothies, K-corn dog, and frozen yogurt.

You can order at the register, the kiosk or the website. The menu includes K-corn dogs, K-chicken, K-sides like fries and tteokbokki, smoothies, milk tea, drinks, and froyo. They’re adding bingsoo soon.

The froyo is counter-serve. They had 3 soft serve machines but one of them wasn’t being used, so there were four flavors during my visit. There was a sign that said sorry no samples.

Froyo flavors:

Original tart

Mango

Taro

Vanilla

The froyo comes in three sizes: Small (5 oz, includes 2 toppings), $4.95; Medium (8 oz, includes 4 toppings), $5.95; Large (12 oz, includes 5 toppings), $6.95. They had lots of toppings, including fresh fruit, mochi, popping boba, nuts, coconut, jellies, cookie dough, cheesecake, brownies, sprinkles, candies, yogurt chips, cereal, sauces, etc. Toppings were neatly labeled and the fresh fruit toppings were organic.

Small original tart froyo with organic blueberries and strawberries: The portion was generous and the froyo looked nice. The froyo was thick, smooth and had a refreshing edge. It was flavorful yet did not taste like plain yogurt – it tasted more like a slightly lemony yogurt with a sour then sweet aftertaste. It was okay. The fruits were quite fresh.

The café is cute with a Kpop theme and a large TV playing Kpop videos. Service was friendly. K Street is next to Ohgane and near other Korean restaurants. It would be a perfect spot for a Korean style dessert and snack. Parking is tough in the area.
