I think movie filming is a sprint compared to the marathon of tv series. Maybe he gets larger chunks of time off?
Yea, that’s true. Plus he gets to go back to the UK and be with his family instead of living in Atlanta. It made more sense when I thought about it some more. It was just an immediate reaction of - how is this taking time off exactly?! But, yea, I get it. From the sounds of it he’s not only been the lead actor of a large ensemble show for nine years, but he’s been a leader behind the scenes with the cast and crew making sure everyone is happy and comfortable and doing their best work, etc. So dude definitely deserves to go home and be with his fam and just have to work for a week or three at a time instead of intensive months out of every year.
