#nw Björk - Declare Independence [AI] (UHD) [4K] [surrounded]
Many missed opportunities seem to be on my mind as they are basically me trying to find a set of connections between several musicians. For instance, Mark Bell was a major collaborator of Björk until his death. While he didn't produce the others that much, he somehow ended up helming Exciter by Depeche Mode. The latter disc remains a point contention among the fans of the group, but I would say this LP, not Ultra, made them one of the rare survivors of the 80's during the early noughts and they presented the fact by making great tunes even then. Thus, I'm saddened the band didn't call Mark Bell again and who can tell – he might have even asked Björk about the possibility of her guesting on one of their compositions. Or she might have even asked them to do the same for her?
