Still going through old folders... This is from the Metro, I’m guessing it’s around the time of the Drury Lane show - the foot and mouth reference suggests 2001 (apologies for the bad referencing. You wouldn’t think I was a historian, would you??)
I’ll never forget the weird shock of reading about a vegetarian restaurant in The Red-Headed League, which feels such a modern thing. I was a vegetarian for 15 years – I had principles then.
