MAKE-作る
作ることは、人が人であるために重要な行動だ。私たちは、考えて作って自分を表現することによって満たされる。実体のあるものを作ることには特別な意味がある。自分の作品は自分の分身であり、そこには自分の魂が宿る。

The Maker Movement Manifesto by Mark Hatch
This is a quick read about the importance of creating a Maker Space for your community. I personally read it because my library is in the process of creating one, and potentially joining up with other companies in the area. It provided a lot of examples of what people can do and have done, and that while not all adventures had been successful, every individual learned something new and had fun. I especially enjoyed chapter five, including the five reason why people invest. If your planning on creating a maker space, I encourage you to read this book.
You have to try, learn and improve. You have to put yourself out there and risk failure. But in this new world, you don't have to go bankrupt if you fail because you can fail small. You can innovate as a hobby. Imagine that: a nation of innovation hobbyists working to make their lives more meaningful and the world a better place. Welcome to the maker revolution.
