I missed this guy's emotional lines…
The humans of the Invincible universe must all have collective PTSD cuz you can't take the subway or go to the beach without some rando using Invincible's body to turn you into red mist. How does society function? People's mental health should be as bad as Powerplex's cuz it's just fucking ridiculous how shit keeps hitting the fan every week or month.
Today's thing that reminds me of myself is: Mark Grayson from Invincible (2005 - 2018)
i get that the conquest beach scene likely resulted in many more deaths but i can't help but think it is nothing compared to the train scene. like it's fucking nothing lmao. it's coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb. it is genuinely unreal how much worse it is than the train scene. it's technically more brutal but it doesn't feel that way. the humans that made direct contact with mark were literally in a straight line and it is really fucking immersion breaking, which is insult to what is already a dollar store train scene attempting to be train scene on steroids. not to mention the gore here is just so much less meaningful. the train scene has a lot of horrifying interpretations for what it means in the context of mark's character and for why nolan would do such a horrible thing. here, the gore is just a buncha people lining up to explode because conquest is evil and shit
