Erinnernt ihr eurch an die Szene in Offenbarung in der Marc-Uwe seine Filmideen dem Regisseur vorliest?

Mir is grad noch so ne verdrehte Idee eingefallen

Es is 2060 10 Jahre nach der "Apokalypse" (Zombies, Klima, Virus suchts euch aus) und Menschen leben halt so wie man das Post Apokalyptisch macht

Versteckt in kleinen Verbänden, sie haven basically nichts, es gibt nur eine kleine reiche Elite

Irgendwie kommt der Hauptcharakter zu ner Gruppe Revolutionärer die die bösen Machenschaften der Elite stoppen wollen

Der Hauptcharakter macht sich also in einer ganz typischen Trilogie daran, diese Leute zu stürzen etc etc

Nur dass er am Ende drauf kommt, dass seine Freunde alle Beweise erfunden haben und früher alle Verschwörungstheoretiker warn

Er rennt jetzt also seit 3 Filmen mit nem scheiß Aluhut herum um sich gegen die "Strahlung" zu schützen obwohls schon ewig kein Internet mehr gibt

Da jetzt sein Leben basically keinen Sinn mehr hat gibt er sich ganz den Drogen und der Faulheit hin

Im Abspann sieht man ihn auf einer Hängematte schlafen, ein Jojo in der Hand

Wenn man aber bis nach den Credits wartet sieht man plötzlich eine Gruppe Pinguinmenschen (halb Pinguin halb Mensch) vor einem Bildschirm stehen auf dem man die Hängematte sieht und dämlich grinsen

June To Read Pile

And what I'm expecting :

Native Tongue by Suzette Haden Elgin - finished A dystopian future where women have lost their rights and rise up as a collective for liberation. This is a trilogy and hopefully, I'll like it and will want to continue with the series!

Dune by Frank Herbert -finished - I'm expecting sci-fi and lots of worldbuilding. Plotwise, I'm not sure, I haven't heard much besides it's a really good series so (again) I'm hoping I like it and want to continue!

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini - Scifi ( am I sensing a theme here?) First contact with aliens. I'm expecting Paolini's writing style to be very descriptive, like his Inheritance Cycle.

Qualityland by Marc-Uwe Kling -finished- Dystopian future where capitalism has won... as for the plot, I'm not sure but I'm looking forward to - what's the word? Narrative? Perspective?Critique? on our current society and the traction, we're taking.

Great Northern? by Arthur Ransome -started- This is the last book in the Swallows and Amazons series I loved as a kid. It's an older series ( published in the 50's I think?) so I couldn't find this book until now and I was so excited when I did!

Pat of Silverbush by L.M. Montgomery -finished- This has been on my bookshelf for a while and I figured this would be the perfect compliment to balance out the darker themes in the other books. I'm expecting a slice-of-life type story about a young girl in turn-of-the-century rural Canada.

The prominence of sci-fi and dystopian themes aside, this looks like a good compilation for June. I read a lot more YA & fluffy-type books in May, so this will be a nice change of pace. I don't have many plans this month so I think 6 books is a pretty reasonable goal ... especially since I read 9 in May

thinking about the fact that there's a german book trilogy about a communist kangaroo living with a comedian (I'm sorry, don't know how to translate "kleinkünstler") and they have this recurring joke about a book series that's called "die wunderhure" (literally: the wonder whore) what in itself is a joke since there's an actual existing book series called "die Wanderhure" ("the hiking whore"), but it gets even better bc they joke about the film adaption where Peter Dinklage is playing the giant dwarf Ülf who's a character in that wonder whore book series (i think that was his name) so special effects have to make him appear tall

and then Peter Dinklage plays Eitri in avengers: endgame and guess what: Eitri is a dwarf who's pretty tall

so i Guess what I'm trying to say: fans of the kangaroo trilogy/mark-uwe kling basically won
